  The unit was clean and spacious!
  It had all the amenities of being at home. The unit could use a bit of an update and a good paint job, but otherwise everything was fantatastic. As always, James was there to help, bringing us new beach chairs to replace the broken ones! We really enjoyed our stay for the month. The parking space was nice to have when we rented a car. Fairway Villa is in a prime location,with Target and other shopping right at the end of the block. Overall, it was a great place to stay!

  Arrival and check in was easily achieved. Some lights were not working and were fixed next day by James. The overall cleanliness was adequate with a few anomalies, the stove oven was filthy and James had it cleaned, tops of fridge and storage units needed a dusting, drapes by kitchen need to be washed other than that the place was as displayed in the photos. James was excellent and dealt with 3 items we felt needed immediate attention
  Unfortunately the pool was under repair and took 2 weeks have the work completed and a pump on the roof was broken and for all but the last 4 days we had a steady stream of water spraying our lanai as a result we were unable to sit on the lanai. It was certainly enjoyable the last 4 days. Overall it was a very nice, well located condo, that I would return too.

We were glad to hear that you were quite happy with your stay, but we were disappointed in ourselves regarding the level of cleanliness upon arrival that you mentioned and are glad that you gave James your property manger a call to resolved the issues right away. Please know that this was not up to our own internal standards, and we will be investigating to ensure that something like this does not happen again. The pool repair and roof pump was a building maintenance issue at Fairway Villa and unfortunately it was out of our control. We value you as a customer and hope you will keep us in mind for future vacation plans.

  After 3 years of not traveling, we had a lovely 1 bedroom condo.
  Everything was fine and with help from James we enjoyed to the fullest.
  Loved the decor and easy to get around with walking to the beach .
  Also loved taking the bus from one block from condo.
  Very handy location for us. I would recommend Captain Cook Resorts and this condo.

  Lovely space on the 20th floor, stays cool, easy morning light. You don't hear any neighbor, so a quiet space to keep to relax. Quick walk to Kona coffee, shopping centers, and lots of food options.

  The condo was spotless, very well appointed, spacious and with lovely décor. The lanai was a blessing during the Covid-19 shutdown because I could still sit in the sun and enjoy the tropical breezes, wave to my neighbors or just let the sunshine and breezes flow into the Livingroom. On humid, breezeless days the air-conditioning was perfect. The markets were very convenient and I know from past experience in Waikiki the location was perfect and so convenient for shopping, dining and beach activities. I would love to return again in winter.

  This one bedroom apartment is the perfect little getaway right in the heart of Waikiki. Very convenient to have a little kitchen, washer dryer, and the basic amenities for your home away from home. Very clean, very convenient, and it includes a parking spot in the attached parking garage too. If you have ever been to Waikiki, you know how hard it is to find parking. The property manager, James, is awesome, he very helpful and responsive to any questions. Highly recommend!

  We had a very good time, the place was as expected. nice location and easy to access. free parking was a huge bonus. the only down thing was out of your control, as the hot tub and pool are down and we were looking forward to relaxing after our excursions in that area. there were some bugs in the apartment as well, but just annoying not overrun.

We understand that not everyone uses a hot tub or swimming pool when they are in Hawaii, but some really look forward to it! Even though Hawaii is a tropical climate in which insects are common, all of our rentals are treated for pest control.   Had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful corner unit villa in the heart of Waikiki. Lovely decor with Hawaiian/Asian themes, kitchen fully supplied with cookware/utensils (which came in handy for cooking), free parking spot was a real luxury, and the cool island breezes passing through the open windows and lanai were most memorable. Property management team was so friendly and professional. Just a delightful experience all-around!

  Property managers were friendly and most helpful. Our unit had a little balcony that we could use while looking at the city lights and enjoying a glass of wine. Plenty of room, good amenities and good lights to read by.The unit is showing some age.

  We stayed in Fairway Villa for 17 days over the Christmas holiday season in 2018. The suite (2002) was very satisfactory for our stay and met most of our expectations. If I owned the suite and was renting it out, I would definitely remove some of the clutter and reduce some of the furniture as well. However, our needs were very basic, so the suite worked out for us in most other ways. With huge lani space and two opening sliding doors, the suite was very airy, so there was no need for use of air conditioning. There were lots of cooking utensils, comfortable bed, clean washroom and good wifi. A very good suite for 2 adults, but not small children due to the many personal items within reach.

  It was a pleasant experience with a few exceptions. For us the room was not user friendly. There were many electronic devices making it difficult to use the two televisions. The pictures of the unit do not show all the clutter making the unit difficult to navigate in. The property management company, Captain Cook RE, were very pleasant and helpful. However the management of Fairway Villa as a whole leaves a lot to be desired.

  The location of this property was great. Only two blocks to the beach, grocery, shopping, restaurants with plenty of things to do. The building was very secure and the staff were very friendly. The property was small but adequate. The balcony was a plus. The living room had too much furniture but comfortable. James our host and was very gracious and responded to any questions we had within minutes. This unit is great for one or two people but not for children. We would definitely stay here again.

  Location was very good. Easy walking distance to stores and restaurants and beach. Waikiki is a very popular spot. We chose this location because the unit had a pool and hot tub on the roof and a beautiful view of the ocean

  We were both more than happy with the apartment . We stayed in the same complex last year so knew the location suited us perfectly. The apartment is well appointed, we enjoyed the owners art work and furniture. There are sea views from the dining area and canal views from the balcony. We liked that the balcony off the bedroom was curtained on the outside making the bedroom a little darker for sleeping.
  The only negative for me (my husband didn't notice) is perhaps time for new sheets but that is only my opinion.
  James was very helpful and cheerful, we did not need to call on him during our stay.
  We would definitely return to this apartment.

  Overall, we had a satisfactory experience in this unit. The location was very convenient and the provided parking is a great bonus. The decor is tasteful, charming, and very fitting for Hawaii. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows, linens, and towels. The kitchen was well appointed, tho we did not use it much ourselves. The unit has all of the amenities required for a comfortable stay and provides excellent value. A couple of things keep it from a higher score:
  
  - The bedroom AC unit is an older unit that struggles to effectively cool the room. It also makes distracting noises from vibrations and is difficult to sleep with. The main AC unit the living room functions normally, but the air vent is located right in front of a side table which acts to impede the cool air from effectively distributing within the apartment. The side table is fairly large and there is really no place to move it to due to the amount of furniture in the apartment. Overall this is a small issue - the ample windows and trade winds do a great job of keeping the apartment comfortable, especially in the evening and at night, so AC wasn't required during most of our stay.
  
  - The shower has low water pressure and poor drainage. Water would pool on the floor of the tub over the course of the shower. Again, not a major issue but it does detract from comfort. Captain Cook has good communication, and would probably have fixed the poor drainage if I asked, but it wasn't worth the hassle to coordinate this while enjoying the island. Furthermore, the shower head is very low from the tub floor - only about 5.5 feet, making it somewhat of a chore for taller individuals to use.

  We loved the position, the comfort and cleanliness of the unit, the full and generous kitchen crockery and utensils, with wonderful breeze access constantly. We had a tiny snapshot view of the ocean which was enough to tell us what the water conditions were. Very central, safe and convenient location.Excellent contact with property manager James.

  We have stayed at this unit previously . The only thing that would make this unit better would be if the owner removed most of the personal decor in this unit. There is an excessive amount of furniture and personal effects.

  The apartment was secure and located so centrally (less than 10 mins walk from Waikiki beach) and we were even able to walk to the Diamond Head trail walk from there as well. Supermarket 2 mins walk away was great too. The place was really clean and tidy and they very generously provided beach towels as well. Woke up early with city/street noise but this was fine as it meant we were up to make the most of our days there! Car hire desk about 10 mins walk away (budget/Avis) was also super convenient

  Property was dated and very cluttered however it had everything we needed and was well provisioned. Quality towels and beach chairs etc. Only major problem was air cond not up to the task.

  We absolutely loved this condo! It was the perfect location for us and is close to everything. The food pantry is just down the street and the new beautiful international market place is also within walking distance. The view from the pool was definitely our favourite. Everyone who worked at the condo was very friendly and willing to help us at any time. We have stayed here before and will continue to stay here.

  My wife and I had stayed over at the Fairway Villa #2002 for 11 days. The room was cozy for the senior Japanese couple.
  
  The location is superb. The condo is located near Kunio ave., one of the major avenues in Waikiki, a local supermarket, and a trolley stop as well as the canal.
  
  The property was clean and well-maintained, except the shower. It might be time to start thinking about changing the present one to a new one. The present one is still OK, though.
  
  The property manager, Jessica and a Japanese-speaking manager,James provided good customer service. Thank you both and Kazuko for reservaion.
  
  Besides the room, there were a pool and a hot bath on the top of the condo. They were wonderful. A small disappointment is that it was hard to use the hot bath because some guests igonored the 20-minute max rule and dominated the hot bath as they wanted.
  
  But overall we had a wonderful time with the condo and the room in Hawaii.
  
  We are already thinking about vacation in Hawaii next year at the same condo and the same room.

  Our first vacation in Hawaii was in 1982 and we stayed in the Fairway Villa as did both sets of parents. We tried several other resorts over the years but always returned to the Fairway Villa because it is the best value for your dollar and is as comfortable and clean as our own home.

  We had a great stay at the fairway villa easy check in Jessica was great ! We have been to Waikiki manly times and chose the FairWay Villa for this reason close to the beach and amenities . The only criticism is that the condo should be checked out for burned out lights etc and any maintenance done prior to a guest checking in . It is really annoying when work has too be done on the condo that is non emergency related this should be scheduled in between check out and
  check in times, I do not want my vacation interrupted by this ! Thanks

  My husband and I stayed in Fairway Villa #2002 for one week at the end of November. We were welcomed by Jessica who greeted us on time and gave us a thorough review of the condo and ensured we were well informed to get us going. The condo is very well maintained, clean and well furnished. We enjoyed many afternoons on the lanai looking out onto the canal, golf course and the mountains. The afternoon shade and breeze were very refreshing. The location is excellent, 10 minute walk to the beach and to main shopping area. Food pantry is just a half a block across the street. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends. It is exactly as advertised.

  Hi there. We had a great time at the fairway villa #2002.Each of your units are owned by someone and the are all decorated differently. The furnishings would not really be my choice if the unit was just for renting. The kitchen was very well equipped but the high counter is a little strange to prepare food for cooking. One very small thing to fix is to have a alarm clock in the bedroom. The new entry door lock with the code is a very good idea.

  Great place' the bed was horrible, but Jessica went out and hot a pad for us which made it a little better.. I suggest getting a new bed in there. Other than that it was pretty perfect.

  In every aspect, location, cost, equipments and so on, this vacation rental fully satisfied us. Especially, washer/dryer was my wife's definite request.
  
  However, we'd like to point out the following;
  
  - The built-in rack smelled a bit.
  - The lanai receives too much sunshine in the afternoon, so not appropriate to enjoy beer.
  
  Overall, we liked this vacation rental and wanna come back again.

  This is the first time my husband and I have stayed in a condo when we have gone on holidays and after doing it I don't think we could go back to staying in hotels Captain Cook Real Estate made the whole process very easy when you get a bit older you can become a bit skeptical about booking and paying for accommodation on line particularly when it is thousands of miles away but we couldn't have been more pleased with everything the apartment was spotless the position was excellent and there was everything you could possibly want in the condo, if I hade to give any negative feed back the only thing I could say would be that the shower that is in the bath could do with a grab rail to make it easier to get in and out of the shower but in saying that, that probably only applies if you are like me and over 60! Staying where we did made a good holiday great. Thanks again Captain Cook.

  This property was exactly what we expected and needed for our Hawaii vacation. Location was great and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars, shopping, and of course the beach. Captain Cook staff representative was prompt and very helpful upon check in making our arrival to the island less stressful. Only complaint about the property was it was a little warm for our taste with just the window unit A/C. Would have loved a fan in the bedroom. Would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a low key, budget friendly place to stay in Waikiki. Felt more like home than a hotel would have been. Thank you for a great vacation we will always remember!

  This is the 2nd year in a row that we stay at this Waikiki condo. And as before, the place is just perfect for us. It has everything one would want. Plus, the staff at Captain Cook are super efficient, responsive, professional and friendly. They are just the BEST from start to finish!   Just a couple of blocks from beach, near grocery store and lots of restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay at this location and hope to be able to go back. Very relaxing. Has everything that anyone would need for a comfortable vacation.

  The unit had antiques, a well stocked bookshelf, many beautiful dishes, and items not usually found in a rental unit. The rooftop pool, hot tub, sauna, and BBQ areas were excellent.

  This place was very good. It had all the amenities and a few extra things we didn't expect. All the kitchen ware, linens, towels, beach towels and umbrella, easy parking, wifi, A/C, Roof Pool, Mailbox, Great Location (next to International Marketplace and 5 blocks from the beach), the little things like washing and dryer starter kit and ice chest and trays made it like being on vacation from home.

  This rental met or exceeded all my expectations. Yes, the area is noisy but all of Waikiki is (except may be in you are right next to the ocean's edge). The unit is well equiped with about everything you need (a boogie board would be a nice addition). The views are nice (you even get a slice of blue ocean). I would not hesitate to rent this unit again, and hopefully I will.

  This was our second stay in this unit. It is charming and has an open airy feel. The upholstry and carpets were not as clean as last year. The kitchen counters need a new surface. We are used to a more cushioned bed. We loved to have the windows open to get the cross breeze but the street noises (garbage trucks, sirens) were annoying. Close to Food Pantry. 3 blocks to beach.

  I've been staying in various hotels/apartments around Honolulu/Waikiki for past 6 months, and this was among my top 5 experiences. Great value, clean, smart decor, parking included. Couldn't ask for more. Also, mgmt was very responsive with the only minor problem (one of two A/C units needed repair--and they replaced with brand new one in timely manner). Thumbs up!

  My daughter and I really loved this condo, however there were some issues. We stayed for 6 days beginning August 19. First the goodness. It was spotless, cheerfully decorated and well appointed. We loved the location as it was close to the action and the beach, 1 - 2 block walk - but far enough removed to be peaceful and quiet. Unfortunately we did have a problem with the internet connection beginning on day 2 and it was not resolved for the rest of our stay despite my repeated calls for help. This did present a pretty big issue for me, as I needed to stay connected with my office. I specifically chose this Condo because it had internet and parking. Captain Cook Real Estate did offer a small discount after the fact. I really hope it was a fluke as I would like to go back next year. I'll keep my eye on future reviews.

  My husband and I stayed 3 weeks in this beautifully decorated condo. We couldn't have been happier. The location is the best, the staff @ the building is very friendly and helpful and the security is the best. I highly recommend this condo. The view from the rooftop is incredible and it is wonderful to stay a day "at home" and enjoy the always cool, refreshing pool on the roof . We'll be back!!!

  We have been staying in Waikiki in condos over 10 years.
  We felt this was the best.
  I loved the decor it was so Hawaiian.
  We really like it best being closer to ala moana park to walk but that is just our wish. There are plenty places to walk though and nice places to close to this condo.
  Everything you needed was provided but a pitcher which I purchased and left.
  We are staying their next year so that says it all.
  Looking forward to our stay next year.

  Great place to stay, I would give it 4 out of 5 overall. Free parking, internet, and full kitchen and laundry = great deal.
  
  Location was 2-3 blocks from the beach, not too bad.
  
  View was pretty good, but not of ocean, don't expect that.
  
  The A/C in the bedroom is kind of weak - you either need to plan ahead, kick it on full blast, shut the doors and let it cool down before bed, or open the doors and windows and sleep in the Hawaiian air. Only thing there is I experience some hot/humid nights. The A/C is loud and weak, so even those nights were hot too. I think they need a more powerful and quieter AC unit.
  
  The building is a little dated, but the room is nice. The hallways always smelled bad, not much you can do about neighbors though and doesn't affect you once in the unit. I sometimes put a towel under the front door.
  
  But overall, still a great place just not a perfect review. Nice, clean, full amenities, view is 20th floor, great place to hang your hat.

  We are Honolulu residents that needed a place to stay while our place was being remodeled. Out of the three places we stayed at in Waikiki, this was the best, by far. It was comfortable, with everything provided that we needed and I liked the location, being only a block away from a grocery store and two blocks from the beach. I gave the cleanliness category 4 stars instead of 5 because we had to clean the two air conditioner filters for them to work properly, and we did have a some tiny black bugs in the kitchen (they weren't roaches) from the stove. The bed and furniture were comfortable and having a washer and dryer in the unit and a parking space included made this unit special. Don't expect a view-just other buildings but that didn't matter to us.

  We spent an enjoyable six weeks at this property. It was clean, within walking distance of everything in Waikiki, the overall building was spotless, and management and security were very friendly and helpful. Our only disappointment was that it is not available to rent next year.

  The unit was well stocked with all the necessities needed for our stay from laundry soap, to kleenex to kitchen detergent and rechargeable batteries. WHile we were there the dishwasher did not work and after phoning the rental company thay had a new one site the next day. It could not be installed as the water could not be shut off and had to wait for a scheduled maintenace shutoff but we were informed all along the way. The company was very helpful.
