  Noisy location. Lanai door was difficult to open. More light needed in room at night. Fan needed in the bathroom. Parking small even for a compact and difficult to park with neighbor cars crossing over the marked space. Nice garbage disposal and refrigerator.

  The place was great if you will be out all day and basically just sleeping there. The building is a older, so nothing fancy. Everything we needed was provided.

  Nice studio close to Waikiki beach and all the busy neighborhood.
  Overall nice stay. Easy to park the car, wash our clothes, find market.
  Well equiped kitchen. The janitor/responsable of the renting was nice and easy to join on Whats app. Quickly repair of the shower when it broke.
  Downside: very very noisy Even at night-club. Will need better noise control.
  Glass door to go on balcony is very difficult to open. Will be nice to have access at a clothes rack on the balcony to dry up bathing suit or beach towels.

  Perfect, safe location. Equipped with everything needed. I enjoyed sitting out on the lanai later in the evening and enjoying the sights. Only one block to the beach!! I felt safe walking alone at all hours of day and night. Having a parking space included was above and beyond. I will rent this studio again.

  This was a convent place to stay.The studio bed was comfortable and it had a good kitchen area and even though we never used it to cook it seemed to have many items you would need to cook.Close to Waikiki beach, walking to many places is easy.The place is a bit older and the picture of the studio is not what it looked like color and carpet wise.There was no carpet, and bedding was was very clean, and the bathroom was clean and looks nice. The tub and shower area are older but clean, the water does drain very slow.
  We loved walking to the beach for sunset and drinks.Easy walk for coffee at Starbucks, plus lots of places to get food in the morning. ABC stores near by for anything you might need..
  Overall all it worked well while we were there.

  My experience renting this unit was very smooth, all the staff with Captain Cook rentals were pleasant and helpful. The unit is on the small side, but it was a great home base for adventures around the island. Having a parking spot is a godsend in Honolulu. The apartment came with everything we needed including beach towels and a beach chair.

  This property isn't a great location, close to the beach, great dining and shopping. Had nice balconies with chairs and tables sit up so you could be outside. The floor had no been cleaned well, I had to vacuum and s ruba few places when we arrived. The bathtub also was not the cleanest. Other than that everything was very nice, bedding was very clean and comfortable. It would have been nice if there would have been some instructions how to work the two remotes for the TV. But the manager was kind enough to return my message promptly and give me instructions, but had there been some instructions I would not have had to bother him. We would rent there again.

  The Apartment was in a great location - close to shopping and the Beach. Everything I needed was there in the room and the App I was sent to download load provided lots of info about the Apartment as well as helpful information about what was in the area. Would definitely recommend

  We stayed at marine surf 701 for 8 nights. We were able to check in early as we got in around 1pm. The room is great for 2 people, with lots of space. Bed is comfortable and the space is quite relaxing. During our stay there was a water leak from the ceiling, we called our property manager and he was able to get building maintenance in within 15 minutes. We went out for the day and when we got back it was fixed. The building is in the perfect spot. Short walk to the beach, the international market, and many other restaurants and shopping opportunities. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

  Cute, cosy quiet building. Easy instructions to access when checking in. We were very pleased with how quickly things were looked after. A burner on our stove was not working, tub was not draining very quickly, and coffee pot wasn’t working, and we needed a bigger cooking pot. Within hours everything was either replaced or fixed. We were very impressed with the quality and promptness of service!!!

  A great stay right in the heart of Waikiki. The unit was clean and comfortable and an easy walk to stores, cafes etc and "the bus". Easy check-in and a property manager only a phone call away. Highly recommended

  Had a great time. The location was in the heart of Waikiki close to everything we wanted. Didn’t meet James because our flight was delayed but his communication was straightforward. The tub could use a mat so an user wouldn’t slip, an extra roll of toilet paper was needed. Also, while the video James sent on operating the tv was helpful, the unit itself needs to be placed higher so the arm of the sofa doesn’t block the signal. Bed was just ok.

  For my mom and I we have spent a spectacular time, it has everything you need and is in the heart of the city, one block from the most cosmopolitan avenue on the island, and 3 blocks from one of the busiest beaches

  Great location. Studio was exactly as described. Bed was comfy but needed end tables on both sides of bed. Need beach towels, not bathroom towels for beach. Need a dust band for sweeping. Just a few little suggestions. James always replied quickly to questions. Very confusing tv procedures but finally figured it out.

  We loved this place! And you can’t beat the parking spot! It was just what we needed to explore Oahu. You don’t need much when you go to Hawaii and this place was so perfect. Close to everything! We definitely would stay here again!

  Comfy studio with everything you need. The furnishing is a little dated but the central central location of this studio more than makes up for it! Literally steps from the International Marketplace, plenty of restaurants and shops.

  Great studio accommodation for 2 people in the center of Waikiki. The unit was very clean upon our arrival and our check-in with James was smooth and very professional. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking any meal and everything was in its place. Everything was within walking distance, but if you needed the bus, it stopped adjacent to the location of this studio. With lanai's on two sides, it was not necessary to use any air conditioning if that is your choice. I would not hesitate to recommend !

  Very good location right in Waikiki. Easy to get in to or out if you are driving, and to walk around in Waikiki. Easy walking distance to restaurants, beach, and other spots in Waikiki.
  
  The unit is clean, has full refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, toaster, plates, utensils and other cooking utensils.
  
  Really like that parking space and internet are included. Cable TV (excluding premium channels) and Blu Ray player are included, and if have a HDMI cable can also hook up your device to the TV and play your downloaded movies or contents.
  
  There’s a King size bed, couch, table and chairs, and a couple stools at the kitchen counter.
  
  Would have preferred if more cool air could have been directed toward the bed.
  
  On our next trip to Waikiki, we will first check if this condo is available.

  I had to rearrange the furniture a little bit since there was no nightstand on one side of the bed. One upper cabinet door in the kitchen would not stay closed so we rigged it. But overall it was clean, comfortable and acceptable.

  This is a nice apartment in the middle of Waikiki. It is surrounded by taller buildings so open curtain privacy and views are not a strong point. There is some minor
  street noise but you are in the middle of Waikiki. What do you expect? This did not matter to us as the access, parking and other amenities overrode those drawbacks. It was nicely furnished although the metal stools could be better.
  Management was very responsive.
  We would stay here again.

  I traveled to Hawaii with my son and a king size bed is perfect for us. This is a corner unit, so you get lanai on 2 sides. If you open all the sliding doors, you will get nice wind blowing through the unit. Everything is great except the refrigerator can't close properly and the internet is very slow. I have stayed in 3 others units in this building and the internet are much faster. I would recommend this unit though mainly due to the location and free parking.
  
  Ps. I saw that a previous guest complained about a/c water dropping from a unit above the car park. This still happens and every morning our rental car's windshild is all dirty. This is a minor issue since the car is a rental one :)

  Great condo, location is prime - only a short walk to the beach and main shopping & restaurants. Everything we needed was in the unit, parking included came in handy. Everything seems very secure. We used the beach umbrella and chairs, sat out on the balcony and did some people watching, swam in the pool!
  
  Only thing to look out for is cockroaches.. there were a few in the unit and some in the halls. The mattress could use an upgrade as it seemed to be caving in the middle a bit. Lastly be prepared for a bit of street noise/loud music some nights from surrounding businesses.

  I stayed here just over a week with my wife, and overall the room and location were great, it was nice to be so close to everything, and have free wifi and parking. The only issue I had, which has nothing to do with the room or property management company, was that our car was dented from what looked like a wrench that was dropped from construction on one of the units above. Given that the parking spot that comes with the unit is uncovered, we couldn't avoid this. Overall we were quite happy with the room and our stay and would definitely book with capital cook again!

  We were very pleased with everything, just as advertised and absolutely no complaints. Jessica was very welcoming and helpful. This is a great choice for those wanting location, security and a home away from home!

  We stayed in this apartment for 6 days. The apartment is perfect! Just want you need... Everything was clean and in great condition. With all cooking utensils incase you want to cook and very spacious. The only downfall was the noise at night.... It's not too bad but it's near a bar and busy nightclub scene...but we also did go in the peak season...p We got woken a few times through the night due to that. But that was only minor... I would still definately still stay there again!! Professional service from

  This is where we hang out for the winter because they do a fantastic job of keeping the walks and streets free of ice and snow
  
  
  
  The location is excellent as everything you want or need is within arms reach.
  
  
  
  It was extremely noisy this winter, the construction from the trade center generated constant jack hammer noise and unbearable beeping sounds, the noise is there all day. At night during the wee hours there are food delivery trucks delivering and they insist
  on keeping their engines running the whole time.
  
  
  
  We enjoy the adjustable track lights over the kitchen island, we can generate a low light level when only one of us is in the sleep mode. This lighting did not work during our stay nor did we notice any effort repair same.
  
  
  
  The window nearest the bathroom continues to be very hard to operate. The screen in this window blew out several times, I put it back in the window only to have it blow back out again.
  
  
  
  The mail box continues to be hard to unlock, a drop of WD40 I think would do wonders for this.
  
  
  
  Perhaps between now and when we return on 1/3/17 these items could be addressed.
  
  
  
  We truly enjoy the unit and location as everything we need is there or within arms reach.
  
  
  
  We make good use of the DVD player and the WI-FI. Thank you very much for everything.

  We have only used VRBO once before. Took a chance booking this condo & we're glad we did. It was great working with Wendy to book the condo & she answered all our questions we had prior to our arrival. Checking in was a breeze. Jessica was there for our late check in. She is so personable & very knowledgeable. It was exactly like it was described & pictured & exactly what we needed. Excellent location for us! Easy walk to the beach. The highlight for us was finding the Foodland concession in the Coco Cove store where we would get our daily Poki fix. Yummmm! It was a working vacation so having an assigned parking stall made it so easy to leave the condo. Everything in the condo worked great. Excellent wifi connection & very handy laundry facility down the hall. Great security system!!! It would have been nice to have had a couple more electrical outlets available to charge our iPads & iPhones instead of unplugging micro, clock etc. We have just one complaint...the air conditioning units above our unit leaked pretty good onto our balcony. The worse was the A/C unit on the balcony above our parking stall. It dripped constantly over our rental car. Couple that with the trade winds, our rental car was a mess & sometimes sprayed on us as we got into our car!!! Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice for your guests not to have to experience that. That being said, we would definitely come back & recommend it to friends & family. Hope to see you next year!

  The apartment was clean, bright, comfortable for two, and in a great location. Jessica promptly met us in the lobby and took us to the apt. She was extremely nice and knowledgeable. When we had wifi issues, she explained how to correct it. We could walk to the beach, to restaurants, and even catch a bus to go to other areas. The studio had beach towels chairs and umbrellas for the beach. There were ample supplies of basic necessities-soap, dish soap, sponges, and laundry. The bed was very comfortable. There were ample cooking and eating utensils but could have used a few sharp knives, a salad bowl, and large pasta pot. Also, it was nice we did not have to clean or do laundry before checking out but since we were there for 10 days I did like to keep it nice. Therefore, the apartment needs a dustpan to pick up sand etc. Overall, we had a very good stay here and would definitely stay again in the future. Thank you Jessica and Captain Cook rentals.

  Very nice condo close to the Waikiki action at a reasonable price. Jessica was great, she helped us get settled in and explained details about the unit and bldg security. This corner unit gets a nice cross breeze, but you can hear a lot of street noise, so we closed the doorwalls and used the air conditioner at night. If you have a car, the included parking spot is a great value.

Appart au 7ème et orienté vers une ruelle(donc peu bruyant), parking nominatif gratuit au 3ème, piscine au 4ème, très bien situé (en pleine ville, ROSS, ABC et autres restos dans la ruelle, ainsi que de magasins de marque, arrêt bus au coin)! sécurisé (seul les résidents peuvent accéder aux étages et au parking, entrée de l'appart avec digicode et clé)! confortable, agréable et propre (climatisé, très grand lit, grande télé, canapé, baignoire, cuisine bien équipée et les nécessités immédiates (savons vaisselle..., essuie tout, papier toilette sont fournies! wifi gratuit! machine à laver et sèche linge à chaque étage ! très bien pour un couple ou une famille avec un enfant ! nous y reviendrons sans hésiter !!   The location is good, the bed is super comfortable. Slept very well all nights. Assigned parking is great but tight. I had a full size car and managed but would recommend a smaller car if you don't need a large one. A well equipped unit. Great communication by the Captain Cook staff - Wendy is wonderful.

  Being the first time I've stayed in a vacation rental in Hawaii, I was very concerned how it would be only having looked at the photos on the internet but I was very pleased. This condo was very well cleaned and well presented. It felt very homely and the bed was very comfortable. Location was perfect only a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend this to any of my friends and family. 10/10

  The only way the location could be better is if it was on the beach. It is easy walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and the beach. The breezy balcony, full-size refrigerator, stove, dishware, and free parking were nice. The was no ocean view. The door on the shower was a minor inconvenience as it had a broken roller wheel which made it slightly difficult to slide. I never brought it to anyone's attention to repair though. Overall, it was a good value and I would stay there again.

  I am a business traveler so I do not get the opportunity to spend much time enjoying the tourist areas. This condo is in the middle of the busiest tourist area, situated on a very busy street corner. It is on the 7th floor and quite noisy until 11 pm or later between the traffic and travelers right below. It has beautiful windows that cover almost 1/2 the walls, but I sleep through anything so it was a non issue for me. Not for light sleepers unless you are there to party. Washcloths and beach towels would be a nice addition to the condo.

  A good choice for a budget oriented traveler. The property has everything possible one needs for a successful home away from home-vacation. There's also a nice swimming pool on the premises. I would recommend Captain Cook for sure. Actually, I decided to rent another condo with them upon my return from Molokai.

  The unit is just okay. It's pretty outdated and there are some things that could use some serious cleaning, such as the drapes- ew. The location is fine if you want nightlife or somewhere central to downtown/Waikiki/Ala Moana. Difficult to take a shower as the water fluctuates between either freezing cold or burning hot. Took us about five to ten minutes of messing with the knob each time we wanted to take a shower. The best part of the unit is that it comes with a parking spot and has two balconies. The worst part of our stay was probably our experience with the guy that met us there to check in. I don't remember his name, but he was a middle-aged white guy, and was just completely bizarre. He really creeped us out, and we found ourselves completely relieved when he finally left! Other than that this place is nothing special really, just a fairly reasonably priced studio in downtown Waikiki that worked for us because of its location, parking, and kitchenette. In all honesty, though, if I knew I had to deal with that guy that checked us in again, I would not rent from this company again.

  The condo was clean and lovely and perfectly located to get around Honolulu with any having a car...but if you did rent a car there is a priceless parking space included. We have family and business in the area and would stay there every time...

  Great location in Waikiki. Walking distance to a lot of great eateries and events. Only complaint was with the temperature adjustment for the shower. In the evenings it took a very long time to adjust temperature of the shower. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold. You had to keep adjusting the hot and cold knobs until you were able to precisely hit the spot where the temperature was tolerable. If this can be fixed I would most definitely rent this unit again.

  We replaced the separate valves with a modern mixing valve. The shower stays at a constant temperature now.

  The description of the location on the website was accurate but when I got there it was more than what I expected when everything around us was prime as far as shopping, restaurants, and the major areas of Waikiki. Being smack in between Kuhio and Kalakaua was perfect to where you don't have to walk far for anything. The building is quiet and clean and you literally walk into the busy sidewalks of Waikiki.

  We has so much fun of staying at this little apt. Mainly because it's so close to everything and I love how airy and bright the room is. Feels like home.

  My hubby and I stayed here for ten days, and despite some reviews saying the noise was too much, we had an amazing time. Of those ten nights, we heard loud music from a bar about a block away 2-3 nights, but we still managed to sleep like babies in the comfy Murphy bed. The location is PERFECT and the price cannot be beat! EVERYTHING you'll need is there: dishsoap, laundry soap, salt and pepper, and EVERY kitchen supply (minus blender) is there! AMAZING experience and service from Captain Cooks!

  The condo was clean and nicely furnished. Everything we needed was there for us when we arrived including clean dishes, towels (both bath and beach), and even beach chairs.
  
  Good location, right in the center of everything, easy to get into and out of. You can hear the clubs downstairs over the weekends, so if you're looking to be in bed by 9pm on sat night might not be the place for you. If you dont mind a little noise (actually some of it is quite funny) then it shouldnt be a problem.
  
  The staff from Captain Cook was amazing, very helpful and friendly. I left some stuff in the room after checking out and thought for sure it would be gone. Not only did Paul go by the place and get it for me (even some cash which was all accounted for) he immediatly sent it to me.
  
  I would definitly stay here again, great hotel alternative for a fraction of the price.

  This is my second stay at the Marine Surf in Waikiki - my first stay was in 1501 which was booked out when we wanted to stay for this trip. We found the accommodation tidy, comfortable and clean with a good, serviceable kitchen. The location is GREAT super close to shops, restaurants, beach and bus routes. The only negative comment we would have is the bed was quite hard (it was a pull down bed) and the shower head needed attention as it tended to spurt water in every direction possible! However, these were minor details.
  If you are looking for reasonably priced accommodation and don't expect to be staying at the Ritz the Marine Surf is a great place to stop! If you want a more comfortable bed I would suggest trying 1501...:)
