  This was our second stay in this condo and again, perfection! Great views, great location and great property management! It's convenient to Waikiki, amazing food and the beach. Highly recommend!!

  The rental was clean and comfortable. Good view of Diamondhead and can see the ocean. Rental is easy to get to and parking was easier to drive through the lot than other rental locations we have stayed at. Other places had very narrow parking garages which made driving through with medium size or larger vehicles more difficult. The location was quiet, but within walking distance to many of the activities, beaches, and restaurants. Staff is friendly and Captain Cook Resorts contacted us a few times to make sure everything was ok and if we had any questions.

  We love staying at the Banyan and this time was as good as the rest, plus we had an amazing view of Diamond Head! The condo was clean with everything we needed to cook a bit, relax (a lot) and parking is always a plus. Property managers were responsive when we asked for fans. We'll be back! Highly recommend!

  I loved the Diamond Head view and seeing the sunrise. My wife commented, "Finally, a bathroom with enough towel bars!" Our only complaint is that the air conditioner was noisy and intermittently turned on for 30 seconds and then off again all night long. It seemed like an old unit in need of upgrading.

  The view of diamond head and ocean was very nice, and the room was maintained clean.
  If I would complain, there are a couple of things.
  The first is the sound of air conditioner. Seems the air conditioner is relatively old so that the sound of running the equipment is loud.
  Another thing is that there is no USB port in the room. If you have lots of devices which needs power charge, the outlet type charger is required.
  Even I commented negatively above, overall, the room is very nice and comfortable.

  Spent a week here and is our second time doing so at this property, not Thai specific unit. The Banyon is great, some minor setbacks, the "security" at the pool was more the no fun police, and inconsistent in rules they enforced or made up even if not on the rule board when you walk in. Unit was nicely updated, though already showing some wear and tear on baseboards and flooring. Really wish the owners would provide more than two rolls of toilet paper when units booked for a week or more. Overall not bad at all and great escape during winter.

The pool is managed by Waikiki Banyan management and unfortunately is out of our control. Regarding the toilet paper, I do apologize if we did not meet your expectations.   This room was perfect for our stay. We loved the balcony! The chairs for the beach were good. Only one was the Tommy Bahama easy carry chair. And the umbrella was great! We appreciated that it had the screw bottom. The parking was easy and very convenient.
  
  The only thing I would say they could improve on is adding more elevators! It was not uncommon to have to wait five minutes for an elevator. Sometimes there was a line in the lobby to get on and sometimes they were full by the time they got to our floor going down.

  The Waikiki Banyan is in a great location. Very walkable to Waikiki beach. Has parking, which is a great bonus in Waikiki. There are many decent restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.
  
  The unit itself ( #2603, T-1) is just the right size for 2 people. Diamond Head and the tops of shorter buildings could be seen from the balcony. This year, the apartment could use a paint re-fresh. The noisy air conditioner left the room too cold or too hot...was hard to program. Bed was comfortable. Bath & Pool towels were provided. There was a beach umbrella there as well, which we appreciated. Kitchen equipment worked well.
  
  As for the building, there are gas grills on the pool floor, (coins needed,) that are programmed for an hour's some standards, this is way too long. The pool floor bathrooms were being renovated when we were there in July, as were the elevators. There were unsupervised children in the hot tubs most of the times we tried to use...not sure how safe it is for little people to be in a hot tub. Coffee and mini-grocery shops near the elevators were super convenient.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was recently renovated, so new finishes throughout. It was clean, and Byron was responsive and helpful. The location is great - close to the beach as well as shops and restaurants. Pay close attention to the various emails you receive from Captain Cook - make sure you note the appropriate contact info and arrival instructions.

  Absolutely perfect! Traveling by with family members and we all loved the kitchen and balcony. Great views of Diamondhead, and from the balcony we could see the water. Super walkable location, clean and friendly building. Amazing to have parking included and onsite. Will absolutely return for next Oahu trip.

  We enjoyed our stay at the Waikiki Banyan. The condo had a nice amount of space for family meals and was in a convenient location. There were a few times the pool was closed when we wanted to use it but overall liked the pool, hot tubs, sauna and the space for grilling. The elevators were very slow and one was not working most of the time.

  Good position, good views of Diamond Head and the beach, close to the main beach and main street, only a 3 minute walk. Air con needs replacing, unit was noisy and filter vent kept falling off, and fan speed didn't work across 3 speeds, only medium speed. Unit clean, communication good, lifts are very slow, sometimes 5 to 10mins waiting for a lift. Also a kettle could not be located.

  Overall, a very pleasant stay. Check-in and check-out was very smooth and straightforward. I truly appreciated that there wasn’t a laundry list of check out procedures that occurs with other rentals. Property is a 5-10 minute walk to Waikiki Beach and nearby shops- very convenient. The free parking was a big plus. Nice-sized kitchen with full-size stove, oven microwave, refrigerator and other appliances. Keep in mind that items such as spices (except salt, pepper and some sugar) and condiments are not furnished if this is a norm for you. Because of this, we did not cook as much as desired.
  Bedroom and living area were comfortable and adequate. We appreciated the beach towels, chairs and umbrellas!
  Though not the fault of the unit or rental company, be aware that there may be disruptions due to multiple sirens/emergencies in the neighborhood. If you’re a light sleeper, I would recommend earplugs.
  Rating is four stars because again it was a nice stay. However, the cleanliness and condition, specifically the bathroom and kitchen appliances (fingerprints) could be improved. There is paint peeling in the bathroom and the bathroom fan has a large collection of dust in the vent. Bathtub appears to be slightly older with some wear and tear.
  Although we probably would not rent this particular unit again, we would gladly rent with Captain Cook again!

  The property was perfect for our family trip. The unit was clean and had everything needed. Communication with property management was great super easy to access everything the app provided lots of information. We loved the view and being close to everything Waikiki has to offer. The building was nice and clean and you never had to wait too long for an elevator. They maintain the property very well. The parking was perfect especially in Waikiki where the parking is definitely needed, there were always lots of spaces available. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

  Exactly like the pictures and communication was prompt. Would definitely recommend this place and will book again if we go back to Honolulu. Beautiful view from the lani seeing Diamond Head and the ocean at the same time. Location was excellent as you can walk to so many things restaurants breweries shopping beach.

  Great supply of kitchen facilities & utensils to enable home cooked meals with ease. They were impeccably clean which makes a huge difference.
  Good sized bathroom.
  Access to shops / main beaches within 2 minutes. Also very close to supermarkets.
  Amazing view of Diamond head and partial panoramic of the ocean.
  Good facilities on the communal deck: pool / jacuzzis, spas, BBQ's etc. It was nice to see families enjoying themselves.
  Good location to set off for exploring especially if you rent a car - parking available.
  Excellent provision of beach equipment - this was a bonus!
  The site actually allows you to recycle waste unlike many of the large hotel chains that do not provide this - this is important to us especially as self caterers.
  Staff were easy to contact before and upon arrival.
  Able to chill out on the sofa in the evening after a full day of exploring.
  
  Negatives
  As the apartment is located on one of the higher floors noise from downtown is personified via reflection off the nearby buildings - especially noticeable at night. Light sleepers be warned!
  The AC unit is a bit noisy at night and leaks onto the balcony floor.
  Would have been nice for some disinfectant spray to have been provided to enable cleaning of kitchen worktops- most other aspects were very well thought out.
  The bed whilst comfortable could benefit from being bigger - I think it is a Queen size.
  It would be nice for a clothes airer to be provided to enable drying without having to use the tumble dryer.
  The provision of a safe would also be great for peace of mind and added security.
  The TV remotes did not work very well so had to use the main buttons on the unit and the media unit had a tendency of switching off mid programme.

  Overall the condo met our expectations with the exception of the TV and the responsiveness of the property manager. The TV was difficult to operate and we discovered the remote had corroded battereries which needed to be replaced. The TV would only play on one channel-TVland and I texted the property manager the first night and he did not respond. The TV is very important to us because we use it at night to relax.
  
  The condo itself was comfortable enough and had what we needed for a few days stay. It could stand to be refreshed and repainted as the walls had smudges and dings. The cleanliness was passable.
  
  The electrical outlets in the bedroom need repair as only one plug seems to be working in each.
  
  The best thing about the condo was the location as it was 2 blocks from the beach and restaurants and shopping were very walkable. The parking was excellent and wd didn’t have problems getting a space. The check in process was a big inconvenient the way it was done. It would have been best if the property manager met us in the parking garage.
  
  All in all, the property worked for us except for the TV which needs to be addressed.

  Can’t say enough about this condo, we stayed here for our 10 year anniversary and we absolutely loved it!! Very clean and comfortable and check in and check out was a breeze! Our property manager was very responsive and accessible. Gorgeous view out the window and this condo was perfect location for walking to the beach and to shops/restaurants! We rented a car for the week and we loved that parking and Wi-Fi was included in the price! Highly recommend getting a rental car to explore the island! Everything was amazing and would definitely stay here again!

  Stayed here while dropping off our daughter at UH for her freshman year. Very happy with the unit. It was a god value for the nightly rate. Good central location and management was helpful. Parking is included, but if you rent an SUV the spots are limited and you may have to street park.

  The condo was in a good place and was very clean! The arrival and entry was easy, no keys to keep up with. Nice garage to park in. I would recommend this condo to any traveler! The mattress on the sleeper sofa could stand to be changed, my granddaughters kept going to the middle so I think it is wore out. Only complaint I have with the condo. I would still stay there again!

  We booked this unit for our wedding stay. It ended up being cheaper than the Hilton hotel and being better since our friends stayed in the Hilton room we had in mind. The space was very large and very clean. There is a lot of light that goes into the unit which made it amazing for getting ready photos for my wife. Would definitely go back again!

  Great experience from beginning to end. Byron was very helpful. Beautiful views of Diamond Head and the ocean. We loved the fact that the room is right in front of the elevator. Room was clean and neat when we arrived. Had all the necessary items we needed to feel comfortable and definitely made use of the beach chairs and umbrella. Never had an issue with parking even though there’s only 1 entrance. We definitely would book again next time around.

  Location was fairly great for this rental and inside the unit was nice. Inside the building needed a great deal of updating but they may have been at the start of this. The manager was easy to get a hold of.

  This was our 3rd visit to Waikiki, and we prefer staying at the Banyan. We selected this unit because of how it is decorated and furnished; more upscale and modern. Also, in these "covid times" white seems cleaner. Byron was fantastic with check-in. We arrived early and he found us a place to securely leave our luggage for a while. And then immediately corrected an issue with the unit. Thank you Byron!
  
  The condo was quiet, very clean, and everything worked just fine. No issues, and very pleased with the view. We like the Banyan's location, just a block or two (I think one) to the beach. Never a long wait for an elevator. The lobby area is pleasant. The unit looks just like the photos.
  
  This is our 2nd rental through Captain Cook. We had used VRBO before but for the same cost (or less?) Capt. Cook provides amazing customer service.

  Traveled to Hawaii after a year’s isolation. It was great to be back. Even greater was the opportunity to stay in this beautiful one bedroom space with views of Diamond Head and partial ocean views. I’m not really a tourist since the majority of my extended family live in the islands, but I do like to stay somewhere comfortable. This space is really well managed compared to others. The Banyan is set up beautifully for people looking for short term rentals and parking included in the rental fee. The inside of the unit is beautifully remodeled with full kitchen and island with counter seating. I had an opportunity to cook while I was there and appreciated all the appliances and cookware made available for personal use. I will definitely look for this space the next time I return to Hawaii!!

  So I definitely would recommend the property. Evrything was perfect. The place looks like the photos. The location- turns out to be on the same strip as all the other high end places I was looking at when doing research. Within walking distance of what I would call the 5th ave strip (we drove) but it's maybe 15 to 20 walking. There's a bus stop across the street. The beach is down the block. There's a deli in the building and one across the street. Pool, and hot tub available. We really liked the lay out. Spacious and clean. Free Parking was made available to us. Receptionist was very helpful. I was missing some information at check in but it was smoothed out right away. The folks were responsive. I felt safe and comfortable. No noise complaints for building or anything of that sort. There was definitely life in the building but nothing overwhelming to disturb our stay.

  This condo was perfect for a work-cation. I spent my first week working. The strong wifi supported me hosting demos for 60 people. The kitchen and the coffee shop in the lobby made the 4am calls doable. The pool, hot tub, and quick walk to the beach made the noon stop so satisfying. The second week was all play. The location and the parking spot gave me limitless options for enjoying Hawaii. It is a walk to the zoo, Diamond Head, or the beach. A quick drive to Hanauma Bay, Waimea, Haleiwa, or Sandy Beach made every day an adventure. And as a bonus you pass by Leonards on your way - malasadas for days. This place was perfect in every way.

  We were referred To Captain Cook by friends and family and glad we did. From initial inquiring to checkout has been a pleasure dealing with Captain cook and their property managers.
  
  The property itself was everything we were expecting and more. It is located only block and half from the beach and many great places to dine. Byron the property manager greeted us on arrival and walked us through everything we needed to know and continued to follow up to ensure everything was ok.

  A cute little place within easy walking distance of downtown Waikik, Short walk to the beach and many wonderful restaurants. Very nice having a parking spot available but watch how large of a vehicle you’re renting as the parking garage is a bit tight. Property management was super helpful in allowing me to check in earlier than the standard check in time as on one was renting the place the night before. Biggest annoyance during the trip was the elevators, as from time to time they didn’t want to recognize that someone got on and was needing to go down. Seemed to happen a handful a times while I was there. Also seemed to happen only when going down so not sure if it was just floor/direction specific. But made a nice way to meet other guests while saying there.

  My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a trip to Oahu in October. We researched and found Captain Cook's Waikiki Property located at the Waikiki Banyan. We were on the 26th floor. It was quiet and clean. The bathroom is large with a single sink and shower/ Plenty of towels available. We were very comfortable with the air conditioner. We watched the beautiful sun rise most mornings. The Banyan is located right in the heart of everything. You can walk to the beach, restaurants and stores. There are laundry and trash facilities available down the hall. The lobby has a mini store and a coffee/tea breakfast place(not sit down). The lobby is open with a lovely Koi pond and there is nice pool available on the 6th floor. Taxi's are available outside and parking was available with this unit.
  The only thing I was unhappy with was bathroom fan. One stinky and it's going to take a while to vent that out. Fortunately, we didn't have much problems with that. It's a very lovely unit and I would definitely stay in it again. It's close to the other major hotels and the location is fantastic.

  We stayed here at the end of May 2018 with 2 adults and 2 kids. It was small but have enough space for us. They rental was at the the end of the strip but close to the beach and some restaurant. The property managers was great and able to answer and assistance us when needed. Overall, I would recommend this place and would come back to stay here if we come back to Oahu.

  Great location in Waikiki- could walk to almost anything and so close to Diamond Head. Check in was so easy and we received many calls throughout the week to make sure we were satisfied and did not need anything. The place was very clean and had everything we needed.

  I have stayed at Waikiki Banyan every time I go to Oahu and this condo was by far the best one. The service from Captain Cook Real Estate was impeccable. I have never had any one else care like they dud or be available to make sure everything was ok. The condo was very clean and very well taken care of. Most other units I have stayed in are not as they are pictured and nobody cared once they got your money. I will definitely stay here again. Many thanks to Byron for all your special care. I love this complex because it is so close to the beach and I. The middle of everything.

  This rental was everything I imagined it would be!! The view was breathtaking every morning. The room came with everything that was needed from things that we would need at the beach to a full kitchen. Management is amazing! we had trouble with the bathtub, made a phone call before we left the room for the day & came back to the problem being fixed. I cannot wait to plan another trip to Hawaii!   リノベーション仕立ての新しいお部屋です。家具も備品も、ピカピカでした。、窓からは、真っ青な海と雄大なダイヤモンドヘッドが見えます。チェックインもチェックアウトも、誰もいないので、英語が理解でき、リピーターなら、問題なく過ごせます!3週間、レンタカーであちこちを走り回り、スーパーで食材を買い、ハワイ暮らしを満喫しました!

  All the pictures and descriptions are accurate. My boyfriend and I were the first guest ever in this freshly renovated one bedroom apartment and we loved it. Everything new, clean, fresh and unused-can't ask for more. AC was working, kitchen and bathroom were in perfectly new and working condition. You have a full kitchen including oven&stove top and microwave, fridge, a good coffeemaker, toaster and even a rice cooker. Plenty utensils if you want to cook few times in that kitchen-or thought the whole trip. Also, some cleaning materials are supplied, so you can swipe the sand off the floors every now and then. Hairdryer and iron is provided and enough towels for 2 ppl. you have a side view of the ocean and a satisfying view of diamond head. For us it was a great location, as it was literally a one minute walk to the beach and it was not our first trip. We did not use the pool nor BBQ side, so no comments on that part. Management was fast and helpful and easy going. Also the free/included parking is great, saves a lot of headaches and $. All in all, we both loved it, would recommend it, felt like a 5* resort apartment but for less $.
