While the recreational area was closed for renovations, the pool and barbecue area are additional perks. The mini mart is handy for last minute items. A pleasant place for singles, couples, families.

Great Layout & Easy Access Parking

Sliding wall separates bedroom from living area. High up location gives great view of mountains without traffic noise. Brand new elevators are fast, smooth, and quiet. Full kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, utensils. Air conditioner works great but does make noise since it's a regular style window unit. Only 2 negatives. One of the panels of the sliding wall is difficult to slide. The sliding door to the outside patio is very difficult to slide. Management was great and fixed non-working electrical outlet in vanity the same day that we informed them. Parking is a breeze with access to the new elevators that zip you to your condo floor. Broom/dustpan and vacuum are in closet, along with dirty close hamper. Washer & dryer are just down the hall from condo.

Great mountain side views

Winnipeg, CA, December 16, 2024 November 2024に10泊滞在Our second visit to the Waikiki Banyan was just as great as our first, we actually enjoyed the mountain view more than the ocean view we had last time. On our arrival the TV was broken but one call to Byron and it was promptly replaced, thank you. The unit was well maintained, great location. The only issue we had were multiple security alarm tests, and one real alarm (someone playing a bad joke), that often disturbed our activities or sleep and were scary given we were on the 26th floor - a long walk down. All in all great value for our money and would stay again!

The inside was dated in parts or just not up to top notch standards. Taps were loose, dirty caulking in the tub, a few loose floor tiles in the kitchen, bed duvets covers with a few stains, mismatched kitchen utensils, etc... needs an update. A great place to stay in Waikiki

The kitchen was well stocked with cookware (rice cooker, decent pots and pans, tools) the beds were very comfortable, the furniture was well kept and the location was perfect.
Having access to parking, laundry, a cute little coffee shop on site made it even better.
I do have a few suggestions that would make the stay better for the next guest. Please consider sharpening the kitchen knives-dull knives are more dangerous to use, besides being difficult. Shorten the shower liner so people don’t step on it while showering; it’s too long. Lastly, although everything was clean upon arrival, the kitchen and bathroom could use a deep clean. Cabinets, walls and baseboards looked a little ignored.

Perfect spot for family Waikiki vacation

Waikiki Banyan Stay

Minor issues that management could resolve: Cleaners didn’t clean the toilet and unfortunately it was obvious. Neighbors smoked on their deck and it blew into the unit. Shower soap dish fell off the wall. Ice cube trays in freezer are cracked and leak - ongoing problem obviously because there’s ice on the bottom of the freezer. Overall was happy to stay there and would definitely stay there again.

Bathroom needed some cleaning but everything is provided so we did it ourselves. Room comes with everything you need for your trip in the kitchen and also beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards etc. We were pretty happy overall and would probably stay here again.

Great location and views, bad WiFi

Walk to the beach or shopping is very short, and especially nice that it came with free parking, as well as beach umbrella and chairs which came handy.
**Internet is painfully SLOW, so do not expect to stream any of your shows in good quality or to get any work done. Not many beach towels are provided, so expect to wash them daily if you coming to vacation with your family. We had to purchase our own kitchen towels as there were none upon our arrival, but only applies if you are planning to use kitchen. Room and lanai sliding doors both jumping off the rails time to time, so can be little annoying.
Byron greeted us well, however, was not very responsive thereafter. Do not count much on him, and call office directly if you need anything.

GREAT week away!

The pictures of the condo we saw prebooking were spot on and when we walked in the door it looked exactly like we expected. Byron was great, it was a holiday weekend and apparently the parking pass had recently been lost but he made sure everything was handled and a new one delivered. Noticed that beach chairs available had been “well used” and he graciously found us some new ones which we thoroughly enjoyed. SUPER EASY walk to the beach and really to everything in Waikiki. We loved that it was not super heavy traffic in and out. No doubt that I would recommend this condo to anyone without any hesitation! Thanks again!

Some doors were sticky in their track, garbage disposal was noisey, bathroom sink drain cover got stuck either up or down. Completely livable though. AC was fantastic!

The condo was as pictured, clean, and had a great view of mountains - lovely at night with the lights. It is an older condo, but it was perfect for our needs, decorated well, and kept up well. One issue..dividing foldable wall between living room and bedroom is difficult to move so we picked a spot and left it there all week. Bathroom could use a bit better cleaning..and perhaps a new fan. Great Location with an Amazing Mountain View

It is a very short walk down to the beach & restaurants. The internet did go down. We finally got the management to bring a replacement modem but we don't know why it took over 24 hours.

We were looking for something with an ocean view. We arrived with not very high expectations but boy were we wrong. The view from the unit was amazing and could not have asked for more. The condo it self was clean and very comfortable. All you could possibly need to make you feel at home. Kitchen is fully stocked. Location was perfect. Thank you!

Great place next to Waikiki

Just steps to the beach, with many restaurants near by. Byron was very very helpful and we thank him for that. The only thing i didn't really like was that there were only one washer and dryer per floor and they operate with coins. Not easy to find 8 quarters for each load. In the office on the 4th floor in the other building of the complex we managed to get quarters. I used the laundry a lot, you can imagine with two children. Need to wash all the time. Otherwise, the place is great. Apartment is big enough for a family. The kitchen is equipped with everything you might need. I would stay there again. I hope we come back soon.

It was beautifully renovated, and it felt very much like home. The kitchen provided everything we needed, and the entire condo had everything we needed - beach toys for our son, beach towels for us and even boogie boards! I also left something in the condo after we checked out, and they held onto it for me to pick up when we returned to Waikiki. I will 100% stay in this condo again. If there is one complaint I would make, it would be the size of the beds, would have been better if there were two queen beds versus two double beds. Otherwise, we were so happy that we chose this condo for our stay!

Property manager, Byron returned questions via text quickly via text. The condo had everything including a rice cooker, beach chairs, cooler, and beach towels. I left a small boogie board to share with future guest since we couldn't pack it for the plane. The only small critique is the mattresses were not the most comfortable. Other than that, amazing condo with lovely views of the mountain.

Great family place

The room is well stocked with kitchen supplies, picnic supplies and even a few beach items. A spacious place that fit all four of us without the cost of a two bedroom. The mountain view is spectacular and we actually prefer it to an ocean view as it is so pretty at night and you can see the sunrise and watch the city wake up.
Fabulous suite with lots of storage and comfortable furnishings. The pool is great for families and gets lots of afternoon sun. The BBQs worked well and each floor has some laundry which is helpful.Response from Captain Cook Resorts

Wonderful Rental in a Great Location

My family and I haven't visited Hawaii prior to this trip either, so we really didn't know what to expect. I found this listing, with excellent reviews, mapped the location, and figured, why not? Thankfully, I was not disappointed. The location is literally under two blocks from the beach and right down the street from all the shops on Kalakaua Ave. It's just away from the more touristy spots near the Hilton Hawaiian Village, but still walkable if you choose to go that way. The rental was clean, well-furnished, and perfect for three people. Byron from Captain Cook was incredibly helpful when checking us in and giving us all that we needed to enjoy our stay. Overall, we had a great experience at an affordable rate. We will definitely go with this rental the next time we visit Oahu.

We loved the location only being 2shorts blocks to the beach, the condo was updated and had all the amenities we needed. It only has 2 double beds and I thought it had a pull out sofa but it didn't. Our contact was kind enough to get us a airmattress. I would stay at this condo with less than 4 people and the Banyon's condo complex in general. It located right behind the Marriott hotel. Plus you can't beat free parking!

Comfortable Condo in Waikiki

The condo was very clean and fresh. A couple times we thought the lanai door was open because the window was so clean. Kitchen was well stocked but we didn't use it much because we were on the go most of the time and didn't take time to stock up. Parking was a snap and elevators were always quick. Room was stocked with enough basics, soap, etc. to get us through our stay. Plenty of towels and beach towels on hand, plus beach chairs. Great location. Walk to beach, shopping restaurants. Second bed was was hard and not to comfy but the rest of the furniture was comfortable and pretty new. I would stay there again.

The beach is perfect for kids and babies.
Our apartment was compact with 2 adults and 2 kids but adequate.
The kitchen was handy for kids and it came with a great big fridge.
Location was a short walk to beach front and shops.
Very handy having a car spot free.
If i had to fault this building it would be the pool was a bit average. -

Very nice condo at good location

First, some new pots that do not wobble on the stove top would be nice. Also, I think the security phone number should be listed in the suite. We had an issue with the rubbish chute on our floor and somebody knocking on our door at 2am one morning. Building security's phone number needs to be listed!

Great value for the money - would happily stay there again

The property management company official was excellent, very accomodating, and was able to get us into the condo earlier than anticipated. She was waiting for us when we got to the condo, which was excellent. Loved the condo itself, very clean and everything we needed was there. The only thing it would have been nice to have was a broom rather than just the vacuum cleaner. We were there with our two grandsons, so every time we came back from Waikiki beach, we had lots of sand to clean up. Great central location, with easy access to the beach, golf course, international market place, zoo, and Diamond Head - all within walking distance. Parking at the facility was great, felt totally comfortable leaving golf bags in the car at all times.

Fantastic mountain views beautiful daytime and nighttime. We think that the Waikiki Banyan is at the best end of Waikiki, it's one block from the beach,
the bus stop, and close to Kapiolani Park. On Tuesdays and Fridays we stocked up on fruit and vegetables from the farmers market at the Community Centre next door. I can thoroughly recommend it. A very lovely apartment and a friendly place to stay. -

Three Block Walk to the Barrier Beach

We have two kids and our youngerst (4ys old) had no problem making the twice daily trek to the beach. There is a beautiful view of the mountains and the morning sun means that the afternoons in the condo are not blisteringly hot. The pool is located on the 6th floor. It was windy there so swims were better in the early afternoon when the sun was well overhead than in late afternoon before the shadows from neighbouring buildings streched over the water. The onsite playground structure was a welcome surprise.
