  These days, WAIKIKI Shore is my only choice. The view from the hallway from the elevator to the room is already amazing. You can see Diamond Head from the kitchen in rooms on the 14th floor or higher and with a room number lower than 12. There's no better venue to watch the Hilton fireworks. You probably get a better view than staying at the Hilton. This is my second time staying at 1412, and I'm very grateful that it comes with a washlet. It's a shame that the beach umbrellas that were available last time are no longer available. I'll definitely come back here again next time. And I'd like to stay in a beachfront room at least once.

  Loved the location next to the park. We ate most meals at home and the kitchen had everything we needed.Captain Cook's staff (Paul) that manages the unit was super helpful.

  It was a wonderful 6 days. I wish I could have stayed longer.
  The rooms are oceanfront, breakfast is served on the lanai, and it is the ultimate in luxury.
  The rooms were clean and comfortable.
  One disappointment was that the shower stall was very poorly drained.
  Perhaps this is a problem with the Waikiki Shore building itself.
  I would appreciate it if you could address this issue as soon as possible, as I feel the “poor drainage” every time I stay at the Waikiki Shore.
  The shower was almost watery on one day during our stay. Other days were fine.
  
  I would like to stay here again next time.

  Enjoyed our time in Hawaii and was our second stay at Waikiki Shores. Property is well located and maintained and is in easy walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Friday night fireworks viewed from the lanai were an added bonus. Paul was great and met us at the condo and went through things with us and was responsive to any queries during our stay. Thanks again.

  We loved just about everything with this condo! It was very clean and spacious with an INCREDIBLE view. We enjoyed having breakfast on the lanai and watching the sunset from there too. It included 4 beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, and some sand toys. The king bed was very comfortable, but our teenage daughters slept on the pullout sofa and didn't love it. It never went completely flat and the mattress was not great.
  The condo is right on the beach and the sand there is lovely. However, at low tide, it's tough to swim right there due to rocks in the water, but you can swim if you wear water shoes. Or, you can walk down to the beach by the Hilton Waikiki Village, but it is also much busier there.
  Currently, the new lobby is under construction, so there were a lot of work trucks there and only one of the two elevators was running, so that created some issues, but this is only temporary.
  The kitchen was wonderful and well-stocked with everything you might need. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was great too.
  Overall, I highly recommend this unit and condo unless you really want to swim right in front of your condo. Captain Cook Resorts was great at communicating how to get into the unit and met us to answer any questions we had.

  Overall, it was very good. However, when I opened the storage room a few times, there was a strong unpleasant odor, so I ended up leaving it open. Also, when I opened the cupboard, there was a smell , too. Additionally, the base of the decorative artificial flowers was extremely dusty, which was quite unpleasant. That aspect was very disappointing. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

  The rental was as advertised and more. It came with all the kitchen essentials, bedding, and added pluses of beach chairs, body boards, and books to read. The unit was clean and well maintained. The sofa bed could us a new matress but I'm sure this is already on the owners list to do. The patio had plenty of chairs and a small table to enjoys the views. Having stayed here for 6 days with a good experience we will be back.

  Everything was fantastic! Lots of nice amenities and you can’t beat the view from your entire condo! The wall of windows overlooks the beach and the beautiful blue waters of the Pacific. Central to everything, and downstairs is the steak shack—very good for a quick and simple meal! Everything was nicely updated as well.

  Absolutely beautiful condo right within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. From check in to check out it was perfect. Paul was waiting for us when re finally arrived (so grateful after a long day of flying).
  Everything you need for vacation was in the condo..from kitchen/bathroom/ sleeping to chairs/coolers needed for the beach. The beach is literally right there! The place was exactly what the pictures showed, the building itself was well maintained with very good security. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

  Captain Cook is a great property management company. They readily answered my questions and emails. We were given procedures throughout our reservation period and detailed instructions about our arrival and checkin. Our property manager Paul was friendly, welcoming, and informative. The condo itself was beautiful—nicely furnished, well-stocked
  with household items, and had a fantastic view of the beach, a park, and the city skyline. It was in a very convenient location—ready access to the beach and a short walk to the bus stop and to the main restaurant and shopping boulevard. We would definitely book it again.

  Have been to waikiki several times, the wife and I were looking for something different. #1412 is a amazing place to stay. Everything you need or want is in the unit. From the moment Paul checks you in you will love the views, access to the beach is easy. You can use the outrigger pool and facilities next door if you want, but why would you when the beach and ocean is at your door step. Hire lounges and umbrella's down stairs if required ,but it's all in the unit. Friday night you have front row seats from the balcony to enjoy the fire works while having dinner. Once again, thank you Captain Cook Resorts for all your help in booking and checking in and making the 17 days we were there a Fantastic holiday break from Perth. We will see you again soon. Do miss the opportunity to book this spectacular unit. Photos on site are exactly like the unit. Malaho and thank you from Malcolm and Callie .

  We had a great time at 1412 Waikiki Shores. The view was outstanding. The location is great, near lots of restaurants and steps away from the ocean. The unit was larger than we expected and was very clean. The washer and dryer was nice since we had come from 5 days on another island.

  This condo was definitely 4 star. Very clean and nicely arranged to view the beach during the day and to gaze at city lights at night. Weather was very cooperative to give several sunsets that were amazing. All the appliances were like new if not new. Walking distance for anything and everything you need for meals or sightseeing.

  Fantastic view of the ocean and city with the mountain background. Right on the beach. We kept the expansive sliding doors open most of the time. The breeze was amazing. The decor was tropical. Bathroom large. Kitchen had everything we needed plus. Nice having a washer and dryer. Easy access to restaurants and shops. The property description and pictures are accurate. Great customer service. I’d definitely recommend this to friends and family. Top 2 of all the beach rentals I’ve done.

  We had a wonderful stay in 1412. The condo is in perfect condition, without outstanding views, night and day. I loved waking up at night to the glittering skyline, and the ocean views in the daytime were stunning. The only negative is not being able to get delivery up to the condo because of having to use the key fob in the elevator. That makes grocery delivery, etc. unavailable.

  First of all, I've gotten great view from 14th floor, beatiful sunset and fireworks at Hilton Village on Friday, etc.The Property's conditin was very good and clean.And property's Manager Paul-san was very helpful, thank you very much.One thing,it'll be fine to fix the front door open it,door key was little bit tricky,I had to pull door knob toward strong.But I was happy with cond's location near Waikiki Street and beach.

  Place was clean and tidy. Had everything you'd need from dishes and cookware to beach essentials. The place is kid friendly (assuming you're watching your kids on the Lanai). The views from the place are superb - going to miss then the most - panoramic view of the beach and the city, and facing the sunset. The location is also superb, right on the beach and just off the city's hotspot - so not noisy, and walkable distance to everything. Will definitely stay there again.

  Our rental experience with Caption Cook Real Estate was terrific, the information and communcation from start to finish was totally great! The property manager Paul, also made it very, very easy for us. The condo itself was "exceptional in every way", so beautiful, so beautiflly appointed, CLEAN, views out of this world, close to the beach & the perfect location.

  Our condominium was clean, very lovely, well stocked and a pleasure to stay in. The views were breath-taking. The plumbing, appliances and air conditioning all worked well. The location was fantastic! We could grab food downstairs for a picnic or just step out on the beach from our gate. The water was lovely. Bring swim shoes because many parts of the ocean have sharp rocks or coral -- or just buy the shoes downstairs from the condominium like we did.

  This condo has everything. It was so nice to be in an unit that is so well equipped. We had rented a condo in Maui and it only gave us two of everything. This unit has lots of everything in towels, dishes, pots & pans, even tin foil, plastic wrap, Tupperware containers. You don't have to not do anything because it wasn't there. There were beach chairs, sand toys, books to read - just everything. I will definitely book this unit again. As always the view is to die for. Don't forget to watch the fireworks from your lanai on Friday nights that the Hilton Hawaiian does.

  Best location in Waikiki with easy access via road, and public transport. The view from balcony is amazing and will be missed. Room was spacious for 4 people.   we really enjoyed our stay and the location couldnt have been better. great size of unit. bed comfortable. the only negative was the shower had to use the plunger on the first day and alot of gunk came out i think that should of been done before we came.not pleasant. also we stay in alot of apartments when we travel and this the first that didnt have little things in pantry like oil, glad wrap etc. we usually leave anything we dont use. would love to come back on our next trip and our friends were very impressed with the place and are going there on their next trip.

  Very clean apartment with fantastic views and fully equipped to make for a great holiday. Fantastic position right on the beach and so close to everything. The only negative comments that I would have and these are very minor is that there is no safety deposit box in the apartment. A lockable safety deposit box for travellers who have passports/valuables etc, and would like to keep these locked away would be a great idea. Also the vertical blinds on the main sliding doors and windows to lanai were not practical as they did not close fully. The gaps between the blinds on the windows and sliding doors let the light in making sleeping in difficult. Block-out curtains would be the practical solution. Also the building's elevators were also a little slow but not a major issue, just allow a little extra time. Overall the experience was great and Paul our Property Manager was very informative. We would definitely recommend this apartment for a great stay.

  We had a great time in #1412. Paul was right on time meeting us to give us the keys. He checked in with me the day before we picked up our rental car too. Great, unobstructed views of Diamond Head and sunsets, including fireworks on Friday night at The Hilton; we are ready to go back!

  Our only bummer was that the TV was not user friendly. We didn't care to watch TV very often, but there were times late at night when we wanted to watch and connectivity was very complicated. We called our contact and he willingly walked us through the process, but we'd have liked to be able to perform this task on our own.

  An excellent spot for a getaway. On the beach but far enough away from the main street hustle and bustle to be away from the street noise.
  Excellent access to the main roads but off of the busy routes.
  The condo was very clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped with everything that the two of us needed. Certainly enough space for two more if desired.
  The property manager looked after us very well, explained everything to us, offered suggestions for restaurants and activities and helped out with other tips and tricks.
  The beach ix excellent even if the ocean floor is rocky. Good wading beaches are only a short walk away and tropical fish are quite plentiful if you are patient and know where to look.
  The property is highly recommended.

  We spent four days, and could not have been more pleased. The location, the view, the staff were excellent. Did I mention the beautiful view, with the Pacific to our left and the Honolulu skyline to our right? The balcony overlooked a park, owned by the government, so the view was unobstructed by other buildings. The condo was clean, the bed was comfortable and we plan to return.

  We had a beautiful condo with beautiful views and easy access to Waikiki Beach. The unit made us feel like we were at home in paradise. We could stay in for breakfast and eat other meals either at the condo or on the go. This was a wonderful option for us. We didn't need a car as the shuttle service recommended by the travel office was wonderful. We were close to all the beach excitement and activities. The management agents and staff were wonderful to work with. I would highly recommend this for a wonderful vacation in paradise on Waikiki.

  Shhh don't tell anyone I mightn't be able to book next year. Seriously - great accommodation it was our 6 th time in 4 years to Waikiki from Australia. I've got the accommodation sorted now. We love the outlook over the park as we are from country area love openness. Handy to everything. Perfect weather, absolutely spotless - I have holiday rentals so I am extremely fussy! Tiny problem with TV but the Paul from Captain Cook Real Estate that manage the unit was prompt and fixed the problem. Checking in - Bryron was waiting for us
  Thanks guys hopefully see you next year! Fire works from the Lanai Friday nites 7.45pm short and sweet everyone loves Fireworks. Sunsets absolutely breath taking from Lania.

  We have stayed in several different units at the Waikiki Shore, but 1412 was the best! Paul Tucker was waiting for us upon arrival, he is a great guy and made our check in quick and easy. Besides the location and fabulous view, the unit is well stocked and has everything you could possible need, from beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, a well stocked kitchen and fine linens. We will definitely book unit 1412 again.

  We celebrated my husband's birthday here from the lanai. It seems there was a huge gathering of Japanese visitors with a dinner and entertainment in an area adjacent to the beach and visible from our lanai on the night of his birthday! We heard and saw it all!

  This was our first trip to Hawaii so don't have a lot to compare it to, but the unit itself was perfect for 2, furniture very nice and up to date, kitchen well equipped, large bath. The view was wonderful and we had a nice park next door instead of another high rise. The location was great because we found we could easily walk to restaurants and shopping and not have to get out in the terrible Honolulu traffic. Easy access to beautiful Waikiki beach which made it ok that there was no pool. Lovely sunsets everyday!

  Location was excellent. Unit was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was great to cook in - it had every kitchen item that most people have in their own homes. The bed was extremely comfortable. The lounge was OK but would have liked to see 2 longer ones so that one could stretch out their legs after a hard day shopping/sightseeing. Could not fault a single thing in this condo rental - there was everything that a holidaymaker could ever hope for. Paul who checks you into the condo was most friendly and extremely helpful. We got married in Waikiki and would not have chosen a better accommodation. It truly has everything you need and the view is just fantastic which is great from the huge comfortable lanai. We will be back in 2 years and will definitely be requesting this Condo 1412 again.

  Dawn from the balcony at unit #1412 at Waikiki Shore was simply an awesome experience. Clearly, one of the best times of the day. I walked up and down Waikiki for ten days, and could not find a place that I would rather stay. It appears that this unit is better equipped and maintained than some others in the building, so ignore other reviews if they are not from this unit ... because every unit is different. The kitchen was very well equipped, appliances worked great, wifi and cable worked, and the furniture was fine. My only suggestion is that, if you get a rental car, try to go with a smaller vehicle, as the underground garage parking can be challenging with a bigger car.

  It was a pleasure through and through. Definitely the place to stay on the beach if you are not in a hotel. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful and they go out of their way to make sure everything is taken care of.

  Our family of 3 stayed for 8 nights (just got back yesterday, and feeling a little wistful writing this!). Overall everything was excellent! After a half hour delay hiccup at checkin, all went smoothly during our stay. Upon arrival the groceries were pre-delivered and in the kitchen as booked, we found everything to be clean and well organized, with lots of handy extra 'stuff' well stocked (which was unexpected - washing powders, diswashing tablets, etc.).
  Found the view just fantastic, and the area quiet enough and close to everything (and with trolley stops nearby). All in all I am generally more a 5 star hotel stay type, but travelling with a teenager this condo allowed much more privacy, space and freedom (with self catering coming in very handy) than the equivalent hotel room for the price. All in all - a fantastic holiday at a really great property.

  The view from the lanai was even better than on the pictures! We loved that the condo is open, alowing one to have a great view also from the kitchen area. The location is superiour. You are close to Waikike beach, but in a quiet area. Finally we loved to take the elevator and literally walk out on the beach.

  Waikiki Shores is at a great location next to Ft. DeRusy and Outrigger Reef hotel (the Outrigger has excellent Hawaiian music every night from 6-9). Unit #1412 is on the second-to-top floor half way between the beach and the street so doesn't get much street noise (just the buses and large trucks). The unit is spacious and well designed with lots of storage & closet space. The king size bed was very comfy. The A/C unit worked very well and its fan provided a nice backround 'white-noise' at night. The ceramic tiles were very hard on our bare feet so we had to cushion them. The vertical blinds do not keep out the morning sun (fortunately, those windows face north). The staff were very helpful during the Tsunami alert on Oct 27, 2012 (thankfully it was minor). Paul (with Capt Cook) was very helpful when we arrived and with a minor drain problem during our stay. We looked at a studio and it was about half the size of #1412 (too small for us for 12 nights). The view from the balcony over Ft DeRusy was excellent and allowed us to see the Friday night fireworks at the Hilton. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would definitely stay at #1412 again.

  The room made our vacation great! It's open and spacious with a fantastic view. Loved having a kitchen so that we didn't have to jump up in the morning & run out to get coffee and breakfast, or lunch if we didn't want to.   We had a wonderful stay, great location and spacious apartment with all the necessaries supplied. The only problem we found was cigarette smoke wafting in through the balcony doors from other apartment/s. Being so close to the beach was great. It was easy to organize tours downstairs, concierge was very friendly and helpful. Grocery stores nearby and an organic supermarket a little further but worth the trip. We had a problem with internet connection but it was fixed within the hour, thanks Paul.
  All in all a great holiday.

  We did think it was an actual 1 bedroom, so it was smaller than we had expected, but the view & deck made up for it. Could not get the DVD player to play, but wasn't a big deal for us.

  My children and I were sooooo happy with the condo. It was furnished nicely, everything we needed was provided and the location was absolutely perfect. Right on the beach and what stunning sunsets.
