  Waikiki Shore Unit 818 is my favorite vacation rental by far! I've stayed at numerous luxury rentals in Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana but this one takes the cake. Check-in with Paul was easy and quick - he was a very friendly and knowledgeable host. We didn't need anything during our stay but I'm sure he would have been responsive if we did.
  
  The condo itself is impeccably designed with a great combination of mid century and island themed decor - it totally works! The view from the lanai was outstanding - you could see the city skyline, Fort Derussy Park and the beach all at once. The fact that the glass doors open up all the way around the condo is amazing. The breeze that comes in was lovely. The way the condo is situated, it stayed quiet and shady most of the day. Kalia Road isn't terribly busy and Fort Derussy Park was quiet too. The view of the Friday night fireworks show at the Hilton was the best seat in the house! We watched it from the living room with all the glass open - incredible.
  
  The beds and linens were comfortable and immenities were thought of in advance: plenty of beach towels, tote bags, a hair dryer and a curling iron. It was nice not having to pack and travel with those items since they were provided. Each bedroom had plenty of bureau storage and hangers for clothing. It was also nice having a laundry hamper in each bedroom and a dedicated laundry room with a full sized washer and dryer.
  
  The kitchen was well laid out with a sub zero fridge, Thermador gas range, dishwasher, KitchenAid microwave and coffee maker. Plenty of dishes, cookware and drinkware. It was nice sleeping in and cooking our own breakfast every day.
  
  Perfect location to access Waikiki Beach, Fort Derussy Beach, Ala Moana and Honolulu Harbor. The best ABC store is located a block away in the 200 block of Lewers Street - it's a bigger store that cooks breakfast, lunch, better snack/alcohol selection and their own Dole Whip machine.   What a wonderful apartment. Very well the last detail! Especially the kitchen. We would definitely stay here again. Very fancy. The host was very helpful. You'll definitely love the location as well. Easy access with private/secure parking.

  Someone on the 10th floor hung a wet, sandy towel on their balcony and it started dripping onto our balcony. We contacted Captain Cook and they dealt with it right away.

  We were very pleased with our stay. The location in downtown Honolulu was within walking distance of everything. The condo was clean, modern and very comfortable. Parking, which is at a premium in the city, was available & convenient. The view from two sides was fantastic. Would stay here again without doubt.

  I have never loved a rental more than I loved this place. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. Walking in upon check-in (which was a great process and so nice to have a person to show us around when getting in) to big open walls of windows was amazing and set the stage for a wonderful 4 nights. It is rare for me to be content spending time in a rental, but this place was a destination itself. We have 4 kids and actually really enjoyed the smaller beach area out front as there were other people there but it never felt crowded like further down Waikiki beach feels. Our kids were able to play catch with a football any time they wanted without trouble. Sunset view was perfect from the balcony and also loved the great view of the city at night. Cannot rave about this rental more.

  Even with the construction being done, I have to say this is one of the nicest condos we have ever stayed in if not the nicest. It was outfitted with everything you could possibly think of and was just absolutely right on trend in terms of design. Highly recommend.

  Our stay was great, we had trouble with the shower hose and oven not working. Paul was able to fix the shower right away. The stove needs a service call. Paul was great checking us in. The condo was amazing. Thank you all, we had a great time. Mahalo.

  Beautiful, comfortable, and a great view. Only begin to describe it. We all loved it, even the picky one in our group. It had everything we needed and was a convenient walk to the beach and all the fancy stores. Would definitely recommend.

  We cannot imagine a more perfect location or property for our visit to Honolulu! Not only is the location very convenient, but the views, space, and amenities were perfect for two couples. We enjoyed using the kitchen every night for cooking dinner- with the fantastic views and furnishings, we found it impossible to drag ourselves away for a crowded, noisy restaurant. Absolute perfection in every respect!

  We absolutely LOVED this air bnb. It was very clean, had everything we needed, comfortable for a family of 5, but the best part were the views. Way more beautiful than the pictures. The whole side wall were glass doors that you could open completely. It had the perfect center view of the sunset from the comfortable couch. On the right hand side you had the view of the city. Steps away from Waikiki beach, restaurant and shopping. If you want relaxation and nature- this is it. If you want shopping and good drinks- it’s here too. Paul was oh host and he was incredible. Gave us some good tips and info since this as our fist time. We fell in love and are definitely coming back to this exact place.

  This is, beyond a doubt, the nicest and most beautifully appointed vacation property/condo/home my family has EVER stayed in. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is top notch and 1st class... from the decor, to the appliances, bedding, etc. It was obvious to us that the owners take great pride in their condo, as this is (more than likely) a secondary vacation home, rather than a simple gut-n-rehab investment property to them. I simply cannot express is words how satisfied we were with the location and creature comforts that this unit provided. Also, the views were ASTOUNDING, having unobstructed visual line-of-sight to the beach, urban city and the surrounding mountains. This condo also has the absolute BEST views of the Hilton fireworks on Friday night (BIG bonus)! Our only real complaint was that we had to wait 30 minutes for the 'property manager' to show up to let us in the unit. He was friendly enough and apologetic when he showed, but still, after coordinating with him per the check-in instructions, I fully expected him to be there upon our arrival. None-the-less, it was a fantastic experience and we WILL stay here again for our Hawaii trip next year! Highly recommend, and thanks to the owners and Captain Cook for letting us stay at this magnificent property!

  I spent a long time looking at different VRBO options before booking this place. Based on the pictures, I had high expectations... not only were those expectations met, but they were far exceeded. Everything is like brand new. The interior decor is warm and inviting. The craftsmanship is stellar - to the point that my father could not stop raving about it. The beds and pillows were so comfortable my mom had to see what brand it all was so she could buy it for home! The kitchen had all the utensils, appliances, glassware, etc that we could have asked for. The view was spectacular. The location PERFECT. Right on the beach and just two blocks from all the action. The check in / check out process was super easy. I HIGHLY recommend!

  I cannot say enough about this condo #818 in Waikiki Shores. Jaw dropping views, very high end appliances. Everything you see in the photos is even better in person. Highly recommend, and I am so glad I chose this condo over the others. **Only note to others is get your luggage downstairs well before 11 am when every one else is trying to do the same with one elevator.

  Let me commence by stating I rarely complete reviews, however in this circumstance , a very positive review is warranted.
  The renovation of the apartment is to an extremely high standard and is faultless. Being at the end of the complex you get a magnificent 270 degree views of the ocean, the parklands and the mountains.
  Being on the 8th floor, you retain a realistic view. Whether its day or night time, looking outside at there is always something happening, boats, surfers, aircraft or walking parades of holiday makers.
  
  Location is unmatched, walking distance to all the major shops, restaurants, bars, and attractions.
  
  If you think the pictures look great, being inside this oasis, the view is even better.

  We were looking for a fun, upgraded pad with a view next to the beach and with in walking to the great shopping and restaurants on the island. This condo was a home run. Wonderfully appointed with luxury at every turn. Every detail was thought of and provided with top of the line items.
  
  This was honestly the best rental we have ever had. You get way more than you pay for. The location is killer. Sunsets are amazing from the patio. Don’t think twice about renting this condo.

  We recently had the pleasure of staying in this phenomenal rental while visiting for our daughter's UH Monoa Graduation. It was absolutely top notch!
  Our youngest son has special needs which can make travel difficult. This was honestly our best experience yet (and we take Franky everywhere) as this place is really set up as a home with everything you could need. We loved the beach access right down the elevator and there were also chair rentals available, water toys and great little market and food stands availbale.
  
  We loved everything about it so much we are convinced we could be friends with the owners!

  Property was very convenient and very clean; bathroom and showers are spectacular and love the added bidets. Only criticism was the number of remotes for the TV which we could not figure out how to use. Instructions would have been very helpful

  We loved our stay here. Paul was very welcoming and oriented us well to the property and handled our questions that cam up later. The finishes in the condo are exceptional - the layout is efficient and extremely functional. Views are terrific. Location can't be beat - not only right on the beach but also in the middle of the island and easy to get anywhere and away from the mayhem of the busiest parts of Honolulu. I'd highy recommend this as a place to stay.

  This was our 3rd condo rental at Waikiki Shores and by far the nicest unit. Stellar, high end renovation made it an understated luxurious stay at one of the gem condominiums in Waikiki. Corner unit with wall to wall glass sliders that capture Hawaii’s beauty and trade winds. Direct beach access for walks and beach lounging and a lanai for evening cocktails while watching amazing sunsets. The unit is laid out nicely with 2 comfortable private bedrooms and spacious common area that could easily host a small get-together. The kitchen is well appointed and along with the bathrooms and laundry has top of the line appliances and fixtures. Being recently renovated it is in mint condition. Only recommendation is to provide info such as TV operation (and fridge water dispenser) and local food and entertainment recommendations. Waikiki Shores condos has a great Hawaiian vibe and is a fantastic location on the western end of Waikiki with easy walking to shops and restaurants but also with quick coming and going by car. 5 star condo in a 5 star location.

  No complaints about our stay at this condo. The views are spectacular. Couldn’t get enough of watching the sunsets from the balcony. Everything was spotless and comfortable. Many shops and restaurants within minutes and the beach is right there! We had one very minor issue and it was taken care of immediately. Paul was extremely responsive and great to deal with. Highly recommended!

  Excellent! Great view, great location. Furniture could have been a little more comfortable. Had to ask for DVD player but Paul took care of it right away. He was very helpful and fun to talk to!

  Very close to bus stop, malls, restaurants, and convenience stores.
  Pictures met my family's expectation of the rental, TRULY A MILLION DOLLAR VIEW!!! (ocean & mountains)
