  We enjoyed our stay at Waikiki Sunset 2bdrm condo. We have stayed at this property before and we like that it is a little quieter being near the edge of Waikiki, and easier to get to and from. Rooms are clean and it's nice to have the 2 bedrooms and a pull out bed. Amenities were as promised. Check in and check out is easy. Free parking was a big bonus, so we will miss that when it goes away next year.

  This was the second leg of our Hawaii tour and we couldn't have asked for a better location. Two blocks from the beach and main drag, safe neighborhood, convenient parking, and a nice condo. Space worked well for a family of four (2 teens) so no complaints. Loved that the unit came with beach chairs and umbrella which made it easy to walk down the street and be on the beach in a few minutes. Parking was convenient and is currently included with the VRBO but I relive starting 2026 it will be an extra charge. Once item of not is the height of the garage as spelled out at 6'. We changed out our rental from a Jeep Wrangler to a Mazda SUV just to make sure no clearance issues. probably would have been ok with the Jeep since there were a couple of them in the garage, but also noticed quite a few scrapes in the ceiling of the parking garage from some unlucky driver. Had one issue with the internet where it was out for a few days which meant no TV (small kids may have an issue) but with cell phones and being out and about was not a major inconvenience for us. overall great location int he city.

  Close to Waikiki Beach, shopping, bus stops to Pearl Harbor. Easy check in and out. Clean but needs some love. Many nicks in walls and cupboards. Rooms smaller than appear in photos but comfortable. Appreciated the beach chairs and info on where to shop/eat

  zero zero issues!!! what a location. The condo is a block away from Waikiki beach, the view of diamond head was incredible. My buddy and I came out for a boys weekend and we both enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out were easy and flawless. Great communication from the host and once again can't recommend this place enough. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

  Nice unit, things that could be reviewed:
  1. Ranch slider was hard to open and needs looked at
  2. A clothes rack for drying clothes on would be useful.
  3. Directions on how shower works for overseas people visiting would be useful.
  4. There was only small fitted sheet for the couch pull out bed thst did not fit it and a mink blanket was the only top bedding available
  
  Otherwise the unit was well purposed.

  We had a pleasant stay. The unit is clean. Beautiful view of Diamond Head. Even with the AC off, you can feel the nice breeze at 14th floor. They have beach towels and beach chairs your can use if you want to hang out by Waikiki Beach. Very convenient location. It is close to everything.The condo is located at the 14th floor and there is a mart on the 5th floor if you forgot to buy groceries and want to cook simple breakfast. It's walking distance to an ABC store, food truck. It is very safe. If you are renting a car though, don't rent big SUV's because the ceiling of the parking structure is low. We had to switch our Ford expedition to a smaller SUV.other than that, I say, the place is great. Byron, the property manager is very pleasant as well. He could not be there in person but he arranged everything for an easy check in. We recommend this place to everyone.

  Smooth and professional check in. Walking distance to all the important Waikiki destinations, restaurants and beach. Far enough away from the beach to be quiet at night. Great condo for a family. Nice and clean.

  The condo is dated but the location is a couple of blocks from the beach, shopping and restaurants. Parking is a big plus in Waikiki. Condo is next to laundry and trash so convenient. Overall it’s a good value.

  Had a great stay. Very convenient location and wonderful view. Amenities were very nice and we had everything we needed.
  
  Only negatives would be there was a feitn musty smell that may have been coming in from the trash room right next to our unit. Also the air conditioning unit was very loud. Also the elevators sometimes took a while but understandable as it is a large building. But other than that it was a nice place to call home for a few days.

  Nicely located suite hotel in Waikiki beach. The rooms are well appointed. The mini-shop in the hotel is very convenient.

We were sorry to hear of the problems you experienced with the security staff. The lobby and security staff are not associated with Captain Cook Resorts. Your vacation rental is privately owned and not under their management. We will investagate, as this issue should have been dealt with immediately by the building management, but unfortunately Waikiki Sunset building staff is not under our control. We look forward to seeing you on your next visit!

  Great place close to end of Waikiki. Great views of Diamond head. Also includes a pull out bed from the couch. Lots of sleeping place for a party of 4 adults and 2 kids. There are covid protocols in place so you will have to call ahead to book the pool facilties.

• Affordable Rental with a Great View and Great Location

  The condo was clean and comfortable. The beds were not hard or to soft. The A/C kept the condo cool and comfortable. I slept well.
  I sat at the desk and worked most weekdays using the internet. The internet never failed but I did have one Zoom meeting that it didn't have enough bandwidth to handle so we had to end the video and just use audio. Otherwise, I never had a problem with it.
  Captain Cook manager was good at providing for our needs. The fridge was leaking water to the ice maker. After my call, he called a repairman which showed up the next day to replace the parts in the fridge to fix that.
  Yes they are still working on replacing the pipes in the building and there were 2 different days where water and A/C were turned off to replace pipes. They tell you days in advance so we planned on being elsewhere during that time. No construction happened at night. We could hear some starting around 9-10 am on a few days but it was mostly quiet.
  I would definitely recommend this condo to family or a friend. But I must provide a caution. It is NOT a 5 or 4 STAR hotel. If you can't live with imperfections, then go somewhere else. (And plan on paying a lot more for it.)
  Imperfections like scratches on the tile floor, some paint peeling off, a 3 foot tub (I showered every day so it didn't matter to me. Note - to turn shower on, pull the ring down on bottom of the faucet), cabinet doors starting to come apart, outdated furniture, etc...
  Yes it is used, but is all usable. Wonderful view of Diamond Head, close to Queens and Waikiki beaches, close to Zoo, within walking distance to a lot of attractions.
  I was satisfied with my stay and have a lot of wonderful memories of my month there. I enjoyed my stay at this rental.
