  The place is in a perfect location. Close to the beach but a block off the main drag which gets you out of the busiest area. Great view, easy access, easy parking, clean unit. An all around win. We would definitely rent here again.

  We had a great stay at this condo. Easy walk to the beach. Clean, comfortable condo. We had to call to get the batteries replaced on the electronic door lock and they we replaced very quickly. Small mini market in the building and plenty of parking.

  Clean unit with great view. Suggestions for improvement:
  -convince owners to replace rock-hard mattress or put a pad on it
  -put a small dining table with chairs in empty corner of living room (other units we've rented here have this)
  -prod building management to make repairs timely; washer/dryer on 29 were out of service our entire stay. Obviously we could use machines on other floors but this was an unnecessary hassle.

  The condo was a bit old but very clean with very comfortable furniture and bed. The lanai had a beautiful ocean view and a great place to enjoy breakfast and dinner. It was spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. It had enough kitchen wares to cook a meal although we did not have any time for cooking. There were plenty of extra towels, beach towels, bedsheets, etc. the laundry was on the same floor which was very helpful. It is walkable to the beach and a lot of restaurants which is a bonus bcoz of the parking issues in Waikiki. And the biggest bonus was having a free parking spot included. We did not have any issues with any building work going on.

  I have been using Captain Cook for my stays in Honolulu for few years. I love how attentive they are in case of any kind of issue. Everything you need for a comfortable stay was found in the unit (from towels to beach toys etc.). I will continue using their services and I recommend them.

  The rental experience was exciting. We had to go back to the airport for Covid review since the security at the condo said we were not processed. The problem was not with the condo security but with the State of Hawaii. Room was in good condition with great views.

  I loved everything about this place. The view is spectacular...of the sunsets and even Diamond head to the left. The place was immaculate and nicely decorated. Watching sunsets from the bed was amazing. Bed was super comfy. I loved it so much that I actually reached out to see if I could rent it for 6 months!

  A water shut off canceled my previously booked condo in another building (not booked through CC), and I found this 3 days before arrival. The staff at Captain Cook Real Estate is very responsive and answers quickly.
  We stayed for 11 days and cooked most of the time. They start you with a small dish soap sponge (there is no dishwasher)we found this to be plenty, the kitchen is well stocked with the items you need to cook most anything. Free parking is a big plus in Waikiki. We traveled all over the island hiking and going to various beaches having the car was nice. Due to a shortage of TP they only stock 3 rolls and 1 paper towel. For 11 days and 3 people we bought extra just in case. The accommodations for 3 people work but is a little tight (I have two adult children). For Waikiki this condo is nice. There's a few little cosmetic things that could be attended to (the laminate on the cabinets is pealing) but overall this does not affect your stay. It is by the elevator but I never heard it. The complex overall was very quiet. We didn't use the pool because you had to reserve your time, but it looked like a nice area so in non-covid times would be fun to BBQ and hang out down there in the evening. They stock the unit with beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards which is a big plus! The only thing I didn't like and I'm sure others do is in the bathroom there is a bidet that looks to have been added to the top of the toilet. This bathroom is small and this makes it feel very crowded in there. My kids however thought it was the coolest thing they've ever seen.
  Overall I'd stay here again!

  1. The picture does not do the view justice. The apartment has gorgeous views of the ocean, beautiful sunset and a beautiful green lush view of the mountain/valley.
  2. Walking distance to Waikiki Beach, shops and restaurants.
  3. Free parking!
  4. It's a good size for 2 people.
  5. The check in process is very efficient. Thank you James!

  3. The bedroom is next to the elevator shaft so the elevator shaft rattling is constant.

  This apartment is perfectly located a few blocks from restaurants and Waikiki beach. The view from the lanai and bedroom window is just amazing!Parking in the see other parts of the island. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in a neat place at a great location. We can't wait to come back and rent it again!

  Comfortable suite with great view. Close to elevator on the 29th floor.
  We enjoyed the pool noodle and boogie boards that were supplied. And James the property manager was quick to help when the fridge light bulb broke.

  We had the opportunity to stay in this rental for 6 nights. Walking into the unit, you are greeted with an amazing view straight away. The unit itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet.   The view and property were very nice and clean. The start up items provided were good and the having the laundry in close proximity was helpful. The use of the keyless lock was excellent and nearby amenities. The only thing that I would suggest is a safe for locking up personal items would have been handy.

  Our experience was wonderful, from check-in to departure. James was professional and helpful; the unit is better than the photos show; the location is fantastic; the view divine; the extra amenities provided were fantastic to have (snorkel sets, beach umbrella and chairs, beach towels, etc.), the bed comfortable; and the kitchen and bathroom were both very well stocked. Couldn't be happier with our stay. Thank you for doing it right!

  Our 29th floor apartment was well appointed and the local manager was prompt and helpful in checking us in. Air conditioning works and the rooms are neat and clean. Great view from bedroom and living room. Great location. Would have liked some staples like oil, salt, and sugar to have been provided as well, but there's a mini mart in the building for some provisions. There's a laundromat at the end of the hallway that can be paid for by an app.
  All in all, vey good value and very comfortable experience. Would return.

  We had a wonderful stay in this condo. It's very comfortable and has everything you need. The only one thing was on the website it said there was a small washer and dryer in the unit This is not true however, the laundry facilities were at the end of the hall. We loved having an lanai where we could see the ocean.I'd give each question a 5!

We think you may have misunderstood the description of Washlet (Japanese toilet, referring to electric toilet seats with water spray feature.   These apartments have everything you need to make your stay in Waikiki hassle free. They literally were like a home away from home. Fully stocked with every gadget and utensil you could possibly need from bottle opener to beach chair! The apartment was spotless and faultless and the device from the Captain Cook rep was impeccable. Downtown location provided the rest of the holiday needs. Highly recommend.

  Perfect for two adults and two teenage daughters. Saved a ton of money using full kitchen for making breakfasts and some dinners after a grueling day at the beach. :-) Free parking underneath for one car was a big bonus, even though we only rented one the last couple days to explore the island. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach made a vehicle not necessary.
  
  Byron, the rental manager, went way beyond what was necessary. We couldn't be happier with our experience!

  Very clean one bedroom condo with a great view of the park and ocean just a few blocks from the beach. We thought it was a good value for the money. The parking came with the rental unit. The unit was clean. The unit needed some minor maintenance. A lamp didn't work. Some light bulbs were out but were promptly changed. The management company ( captain cook and James ) did a great job) the pool was small and a little cool for me.

  We loved staying at the Waikiki Sunset. Had an awesome ocean view apartment. Our property manager, Byron, was very thorough with the check in/check out procedure. Great place to stay because it was very convenient and walking distance to shops. Very affordable and you get to park for free!! I would stay there again and definitely recommend for anyone to stay there!!

  It was comfortable, clean, and well equipped. The view was amazing to be able to see Diamond Head and the ocean at Waikiki was special. We had a small plumbing issue, and Jessica, the property manager had it fixed before we arrived back from our morning at the beach. No inconvenience to us made us feel important!!

  Enjoyed our stay at 2904 Waikiki sunset very much! Walked into a clean and cozy condo with an amazing view! It was well-equipped in the kitchen as well as towels toilet paper paper towels etc. Loved having the lanai to sit on and enjoy the view, the breeze, and the sunsets! Everything went very smooth. If I had any questions or concerns they were easily answered or taken care of. I really appreciated having a place to park my rental car and the location of the condo is very convenient! We were able to walk to locations on Waikiki. While we didn't use the market at the condo, it was nice to have there if needed. We also did not have time to use the pool or hot tub. My only complaint was my own lack of time to enjoy the condo a little bit more.

  Condo was close to all amenities & central location was perfect for getting to all attractions. Condo was fully equipped and met our needs. Only issues were the following - A/C was noisy, sofabed not suited for teens and only one washer unit was operable on our floor the day we had laundry. Otherwise I definitely recommend if you want a central location.

A full-sized sleeper sofa may indeed be too small for 2 teens, so for your next visit, be sure to reserve one of the condos with one that is queen sized. Thanks for the recommendation!

  I am returning residence of Hawaii who has stayed at Royal Hawaiian Hotel all the time when I visited Hawaii for the Vacation.
  
  Unfortunately, there was no room available at the Royal Hawaiian therefore, I have reserved a room at Waikiki Sunset through VRBO following my brother's recommendation who is living in Oahu.
  
  My experience with Captain Cook was just great!
  I was late for the meeting with Jessica for about 50 minutes but Jessica greeted us with a big smile regardless of our late check in.
  
  Also, the Place was conveniently located right by the heart of waikiki and it was only 3-5 minutes walk to Waikiki Beach. My Childrens spend hours in the Hotel pool and they loved it.
  
  Also they had Big TV and Laundry room on the same Floor and it was very convenient for us. I think it was 2 dollars for washing and 1.5 dollar for drying.
  
  Also although it only had 1 Bed in the bed room the couch turns into queen size bed so there was plenty room for the family of Four.
  
  As a returning resident who has stay in Oahu for 16 years and stayed in the Premium Hotels in most of Oahu, I will definitely say that the Waikiki Sunset 2904 is worth every buck. It has great view and the room is very clean and well maintained.
  
  Also It comes with Free Parking space which is plus for those who rents a car. I will definitely rent this place again and will recommend this place to everyone.
  
  And thank you to Captain Cook and Jessica for the warm hospitality. We really loved your place.

  Wonderful stay! The apartment is as shown and is the perfect size for 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children.
  Well stocked kitchen - although a proper cheese knife would be great ;)
  Good size bathroom with good storage - although the plug in the bath is a little slow and left us paddling while showering.
  Beds are very comfortable and sofa bed easy to pull out and put away!
  
  Views from the Lanai are incredible - although an extra chair or two would be a thought - it made it hard for all of us to be out there for breakfast with only 2 chairs.
  
  Would definitely recommend this property. Great location, and included parking a bonus.
  Jessica was great - waiting for us to arrive until after 11pm - even calling us to make sure she hadn't missed us!

  The suite was exactly as described, and we were very happy with it. However, the Sunset as a building has gone down hill and is in great need of refurbishment. Carpeting on the 29th floor is dirty and very worn; hallway is dingy; much of the time there were only two of the four elevators working, which resulted in long waits to go up or down. Very disappointing.

  After a torturous experiencing of getting to Honolulu...the last thing I wanted was have any dramas with getting into the apartment we had rented. All I wanted was to put our bags down, get something to eat and a cold beer.
  
  And thankfully there were no dramas. On the contrary, I contacted Jessica from Captain Cook Resorts once we exited the airport as instructed. Jessica then advised that she would meet us in the foyer of the Waikiki Sunset in 1/2 and hour. When we got there Jessica was already there and completely ready to show us around and explain everything we needed to know...with a big, warm Hawaiian smile included.
  
  Clearly, this was a brilliant start to a much anticipated holiday.
  
  Captain Cook resorts also contacted us several times during our stay to make sure everything was okay...which of course it was.
  
  Little things like this and the overall excellent service we received was the reason our holiday was a major success.
  
  We are already looking at another trip and wouldn't dream of booking with anyone else but Captain Cook Resorts.
  
  The apartment building was oldish but very clean and neat. Provided everything you could possibly need for a quiet, comfortable, relaxing holiday. Staff very pleasant and all the facilities you could need were available including a shop and travel desk within the hotel. Situated at the end of Waikiki but within a short walk of everything. If not, then transport was waiting outside the hotel in the form of a taxi rank or the bus stop was on the corner to take you in either direction. Restaurants and shops were close by and started 2 blocks down the street but very quiet. Great view.

  We are very happy with our stay at Sunset #2904. Good supplies in kitchen were appreciated as we took advantage of facility bar-b-q's. Ice maker did not work when we arrived but Jessica came with a bag of ice & ice trays as soon as we called. Of course the ice maker started working as soon a she did. Very nice place! Only complaint might be that, as many relators do, it appears a wide angle lens was used for the interior photos as the rooms did not seem to be as big as the photos made them appear. Other than that--great. The Capt Cook folks, in particular Jessica, are great to work with. We highly recommend.

  This apartment was excellent - it's in an older building but has been recently updated with new kitchen and bathroom and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view is incredible - diamond head to one side and blue ocean ahead (with a few buildings mixed in). It's located down the quieter end of waikiki which was nice for us. Free parking was a big bonus -it's nice to have a car to drive around the island. Everything worked well - air conditioning effective, hot water, etc. We used the pull out couch and it was comfortable enough. I think there's also an inflatable mattress and pack n play for a baby in the unit. The Captain Cook agent who met us at the apartment could not have been more friendly and helpful -even though she must've been tired as it was after midnight when we got in! They were exceptionally good to work with from start to finish, including when I had to make a change to my booking a few weeks in advance. I'd definitely recommend this apartment and this rental company to any couple or small family wanting to stay in waikiki.

  The unit is exactly as the pictures depict and the views are terrific. Very clean and Jessica from Captain Cook was there to show me the unit and help with any problems. She was 5 star! Parking in the building is supplied free of charge by the owner which is a huge plus. Information that may be helpful... no spices, oils etc are supplied; no dishwasher; laundry is coin operated but at the end of each hallway on each floor; approx. 3 blocks to beach which is an easy walk; lots of towels and beach towels; lots of hangers and closet space; laundry soap, dish soap, sponge, face soap, paper towels, and Kleenex in the unit upon arrival; TV channel 56 is Guide to what's on; all appliances were new and very clean; oh... something I had a time figuring out is that the shower is activated by pulling down on a ring located on the faucet but under the spout. That was a new one for me! All in all a wonderful place to stay while in Waikiki and would highly recommend!

  We happened upon your little unit by chance and it was such a beautiful experience! Thank you for making us feel at home and so welcomed. I will NEVER stay anywhere else in Waikiki if I don't have to and I will ALWAYS book this same condo if at all possible! It could not have been more perfect and the owners pride shows thru! We asked for a late check out and were granted that, and in return, we left it as clean as possible with little housekeeping needs. We loved it!

  We thought our vacation rental was in a good location, not far from the beach and within walking distance to so much of what's happening in Waikiki. The rental was clean and nice. The lanai has a nice view of the ocean and you can have your coffee and watch the sailboats and the surfers out there everyday.. Beautiful sunsets as well. The only downfall we found was that the mattress on the bed was quite hard and the pillows need to be replaced. Even the bed on the couch could be more comfortable. I wish they had a jacuzzi/spa on the property to rest our weary feet after walking all over town! A book with menus of local restaurants with their phone numbers and location would be very helpful.

  It was a great vacation. I would suggest having service elevators for staff. I would also suggest that you have a drop off box for your parking pass in the lobby so you don't have to go back up to the room and put it inside.

  I visit Hawaii regularly for work and usually book through Captain Cook. Never had a major problem, and they are very responsive in dealing with the inevitable minor problems. Now if they could only get dishwashers into the Waikiki Banyan and Waikiki Sunset ;-)...

  This unit was spotless when we arrived. It was nicely upgraded and was a good size for 2 adults. Our only issues were a non working sink disposal and very slow draining tub (mentioned in other reviews). Otherwise a nice unit with a great location and convenient parking included. We wouldn't hesitate to rent it again. Also thanks to James for getting us checked in a little early!

  Great view and awesome location. The property was very clean and nicely appointed. There were few things amiss. A piece of the shower came off during out stay, the tub didn't drain properly, and the towel rack kept on falling on the floor. Otherwise, it was a great place.

  This is a very good place to stay in Waikiki. Having stayed at a friend's place in Waikiki Beach tower, I've seen a 5 star place and this place is all around 1 level down from that. That being said, I would stay here again and recommend to a friend. Its a bit set back from the beach, three substantial blocks to a less happening, but still crowded portion of Waikiki beach. The building itself is a bit old, but that is pretty standard for this area. The pool and tennis court on the 5th floor seemed very nice although I did not use them. I did notice it lacked an outdoor hot tub. The amount of space was perfect for 2 adults and one child, but any more that that it would start getting tight.

  Spent 9 days in Waikiki and loved every minute of it. This condo was just a few minutes walk from the beach and had an amazing view of the beach and diamond head. It was great to have the living space and a kitchen to relax in and help save a bit of money on food. Came with a parking space in the garage which also saves a ton of money. The only downside was the elevator which was often crowded, but this is usually the case at any hotel in Waikiki so it isn't really an big deal. I would definitely recommend this condo to other travelers and the savings versus a conventional hotel makes a huge difference.

  I was very happy with the quality of #2904, the furniture including the beds and TV's were top notch, very clean,lots of room, great view, towels, dishes etc., all great, no complaints. It was within easy walking distance of the beach and all the sights of Waikiki beach including the zoo and international market place. Easy to get to from the airport. It is an older building but has been well maintained. Staff and leasing agent all were friendly, helpful and quick to respond to all questions. The included parking was very helpful and always found a good spot. Some of the apartments and hostels near the Sunset were a little run down and eyesores but that is not the fault of the sunset and hopefully they will get bought out and removed. The elevators are always busy so you might have to wait a bit sometimes but it has 30+ stories so that is a given. I would definitely stay again.

  The rental was perfectly maintained, quite large, spacious. As an extra bonus, the view from the 29th floor of Diamond Head was fantastic.

  I've visited at Waikiki area for 3 times, but it was my first time stay at Condo.
  As I started staying at this Condo, I realized that everything was more comfortable than staying at the hotel.
  I don't know about other condos, but I can say that Waikiki Sunset #2904 was excellent for good location, cleanness and so on.

  Given the high cost of hotels in Waikiki, we thought the condo was a great value and would stay there again. Since this condo is run by a company, the extras you sometimes find in condos that are operated privately, were not there - spices, oil, etc. It is bare bones in the kitchen and one should note that dishes are washed by hand. Everything was very clean and there were plenty of plates, silverware and cups. The air conditioner was one of those that blows very cold and then allows things to warm up. The environment varied quite a bit WRT temperature, but we found that we could open the windows, so we used the fresh air at night. Much better for sleeping and we could use the AC during the day as needed. The bed is super firm with no pillow topper, but the condo was very quiet. Never heard a thing - except some small amount of traffic at night with the windows opened. Loved the parking availability! We never had trouble getting a spot. The elevator, since this was on the 29th floor, could take quite a bit of time - as many as 8 stops on the way up or down. The small table on the balcony allowed for cocktails, but the dinner was best consumed at the bar, where there was more space. There is no eating table.

  Waikiki Sunset is a decent location. Close to beach, shopping and golf. Close to the beach is always better but for the price it was well worth the couple minute walk. The property was very clean and had a beautiful view of the beach and diamond head from the living room, and bedroom.

  We had a great 2 weeks at Waikiki Sunset. A beautiful view of Diamond Head and the beach and the apartment had everything we needed. Byron was very helpful when we called for advice and it was great value for money, considering we had a kitchen and the inclusive free parking and wi-fi - everything the hotels charge extra for.
  We highly recommend Captain Cook and in particular, this property, and we will use them in the future if we go back to Hawaii for a holiday!

  Byron was helpful. Propery nice. Slight moldy odor coming from either shower curtain or carpet. Not overwhelming but noticeable upon first entry. Space was nice. BR very nice.

  It was a comfortable place, well-located. We're older, and would have liked higher seats in the living room, but that's just us. The kitchen needs a broiling pan, and a few small plates. Another wastebasket for the living room would be useful. The bed is very good. The pool was nice, and the parking easy. It was, save one, the most commodious apartment we've had.

  My spouse and I enjoyed a wonderful 2 weeks in Honolulu during late January early February 2013. Our Waikiki Sunset condo unit served as a great home base because it's location was within easy walking distance to everything we love to access on a fun n' sun holiday (beach, shopping, restaurants, convenient stores, etc.). A plus was that the condo rate included parking so we secured a rental car for visits to Ko Olina and Waimanalo golf courses and beaches. We cooked several delightful "fresh seafood" dinners in the condo's well appointed kitchen and enjoyed happy hour and dining on the ocean-view patio that provided great vistas. Every morning our breakfast was taken on the patio as we watched Waikiki wake-up. One morning - we viewed whale activity and on another a beautiful rainbow. We love renting condos or apartments when traveling to a destination for an extended period of time. This property truly exceeded "our" expectations.

  This was my first time ever travelling out of Canada. Our stay was great! Bed was comfy, it started to feel like home. The view was very nice, a few blocks up from the beach and within walking distance from restaurants and shopping. LOVED that it included free phone calls to Canada, free WiFi, and parking space for rental car. Would absolutely go thru Captain Cook for our next vacation!

  I stayed here for 6-7 weeks and it was nice. I've stayed in this building in the past in a unit on a higher floor and it had a better ocean view but this one isn't bad. I like the location. I liked the way the unit is set up; handy kitchen, a desk where I could set up my computer, wall mounted TV's, etc. I've found the management (Capt. Cook) is alway good to work with.
