  We are regulars for Waikiki Sunset , this time we stayed 16 days . We really need clean bed sheets after a week.
  We are on vacation and there is no in unit laundry. So it would be great if we can get fresh bedsheets and clean towels. The bedsheets and towel service required is different for a short stay visitors (a week or so) and longer stay visitors (two weeks or more). It is also a great incentive for frequent visitors like us to book for more than a week's stays. We do not mind paying for it. It would be a great add-on service to further a stress free vacation and increase revenue for the owner

  This is the first time to stay at Waikiki Sunset and was extremely satisfied. Great central cooling in bedroom and living room. It felt like a home not just a hotel unit. Impressed was an actual door to the bedroom and the bathroom and shower worked great and very clean. Had an issue with clogged drained and was fixed immediately. The TV had tons of channels to choose from and was a pretty big TV. Kitchen had everything you need for cooking in which is what we did every day. The rooster outside woke us up at times (haha). The view could have been better but still had a view of diamond head and some of the ocean while on the balcony. There is noise of people taking elevator in the morning as unit right next to elevator. Will rent this unit again.

  I was worried about checking in because I don’t speak English well.
  The staff kindly explained the check-in process via WhatsApp, which made everything easy.
  The room was clean, fully equipped for cooking, and the sofa bed was comfortable for our group of four adults.
  We also appreciated having beach chairs and a parasol.
  I had a great stay at the Aston Waikiki Sunset!

  I can’t imagine you’ll find a better value for the price and location. The unit was as described, with the kitchen, beach gear, and free parking saving us money on our vacation. The view was good, with the ocean and Diamond Head visible. And the location was great — a short walk to the beach, dining, and shopping. This unit is right next to the elevator, which concerned us when we arrived, but noise was not an issue once in our week there. Property manager was great. We would stay here again.

  This condo was exactly as pictured and worked great for 4 girlfriends to stay 4 nights to attend another friend’s destination wedding. Of course we weren’t in the room much, and didn’t cook, except coffee, but it was perfect. The 2 beds AND the pullout couch were very comfortable! Beach towels were great since it was only a two block walk to the ocean. Lots of restaurants within walking distance (or quick Uber). We used the shuttle service to airport that they recommended since we had to leave at 5am - very efficient. Would highly recommend this condo and the Captain Cook management.

  This was our fourth stay with Captain Cook. I highly recommend them. They were great and accommodating. Our only problem this time was the building we stayed in had water issues so needless to say we had two weeks with no hot water.. we got warm water, which made showers very inconvenient. The property manager did try to help us out and gave us another room to shower in for two days while it was available. We did not use it as it was more inconvenient. Would like to be compensated in someway if available, but I do thank them for everything.

  Unfortunately due to maintenance in the building there was no AC in the condo. It was too hot to survive without AC so we were able to find another rental and our hosts were incredibly understanding and gave us a full refund.

  The location was so good, walking distance to everything you need.
  The chairs and umbrella came in handy when going down to the beach.
  I loved not having to pay for resort fees. Saved a good chunk of money.
  The property is a little dated, but it is perfectly Hawaiian.
  I would stay here again and most likely will.

  Very convenient location. Easy to get to the beach and shopping, even walkable to visit the university of Hawaii campus.
  The room was well maintained, clean, and even had a couple of puzzles that were used.
  The option for free parking was also appreciated.

  This condo is very clean and had everything we could need. We were on Oahu for a funeral and didn’t want to stay with family this time around so found this little gem of a condo last minute. The check in process was very simple. Free parking was awesome and not even something I had thought about when booking because we are not used to staying in the city while visiting. You are within walking distance of Waikiki beaches and can get to rainbow drive and Lenard’s in 5-10 minutes by car (these are the places we miss most being on the mainland). The pool was beautifull, there were boogy boards, beach chairs, and a sunshade tent to take to the beach, the balcony was nice. I absolutely love having a separate bedroom/living room when traveling with kids. We can wake up early, sip our coffee, chat out on the balcony before the “when are we going to the beach, pool, etc” starts up. This place did not have the touristy vibe going on, which we much appreciate, especially my husband who grew up here.
  
  The few cons were not deal breakers but I do like to be honest. The pillows were on the thinner side, I had to double them up. The towel bar in the bathroom was broken and had not been repaired before our stay. The area isn’t the best at night, like as a women I wouldn’t walk around alone after 10pm, but it isn’t the worst either. A group or couple walking back from dinner would be fine. Only having 4 beach towels is hard with the pool and beach. Sandy/salty damp towels to dry off with at the pool was kinda gross but my kids didn’t care.
  
  For the price this is an excellent place to stay. We will keep it in mind if we ever want to stay in the Honolulu/Waikiki area and would recommend it to family and friends.

  We had a great stay in this 1 bedroom unit, comfortable for the 4 of us. Clean overall, kitchen had plenty of glassware and dishes for all our home cooked meals. Location is walkable to beach, restaurants, stores, bus stop and even Safeway. Would recommend to family and friends.
  Staff at Captain Cook Resorts are professional and just a phone call away if you need anything.

  The Waikiki Sunset is a great for enjoying the Waikiki beaches, the zoo, and the many shops and restaurants in that area. The condo is clean, beds are comfortable, and the Captain Cook resort staff are helpful and responsive. The only negative that we encountered was the the fact that the elevators were slow because one or two were out of service .

  This was the perfect place to stay with my family. Quick walk to the beach, plenty of restaurants nearby as well. Only about a 15/20 minute drive to Diamond Head. The place was clean and had a nice balcony to enjoy our breakfast.

  ワイキキサンセットに初めて宿泊しました。
  お部屋は9階でしたがテラスからの眺めはダイヤモンドヘッドも見えて最高でした。

  Great for small family. A bit noisy with construction going on and street noise, but nothing that would keep you up at night. And surprisingly very little noise from elevator which it is adjacent. Issue with water being off one day and hot water being off due to the repair, but shouldn’t be an ongoing issue. Great location, walking distance to Waikiki beach and strip in front of beach with shops and restaurants. Loved borrowing use of the 2 beach chairs and beach umbrella. Views of diamond head and small bit of the ocean. Loved being able to cook a few meals.

  We had so much fun staying at this place. Everything that we needed was there plus boogie boards, beach chairs and a beach umbrella were nice additions to enhance our stay. Definitely recommended and would be happy to return to this place.
