Public Parking Options in Waikīkī

Finding overnight parking in Waikīkī can be difficult and expensive (some hotels charge up to $95+tax & tip per night!) if you don't know where to look. Many of our vacation rentals include FREE parking, but for the ones that do not, please see below for some options.

Hale Koa Hotel

The Hale Koa Hotel offers paid public parking at their 2 parking lots located in the western end of Waikīkī. Many of our Regency on Beachwalk, Niʻihau Apartments, and Waikiki Shore rentals include a free parking pass to these lots, while for others we offer the option for our guests to purchase use of a pass from Captain Cook Resorts for a nightly fee (currently $25/night) [Please see each individual listing for details.]. If we do not have any nightly rental passes available, Hale Koa also offers hourly rates with a daily maximum (currently max $75/day), or you may purchase your own Monthly Pass at the parking office located on the ground floor of the Hale Koa Hotel Parking Garage (currently $210/month + one-time $10 card activation fee). All prices are subject to change without advance notice. The same parking pass can be used at either of the following:

  1. Hale Koa Hotel Saratoga Overflow Lot (2141 Kālia Rd, Honolulu, HI 96815)

A large open-air lot located just across the street from Waikiki Shore (~2-min. walk from the lobby) and a ~4-minute walk from both Regency on Beachwalk and Niʻihau Apartments

  2. Hale Koa Hotel Parking Garage (358 Maluhia Rd, Honolulu, HI 96815)

A large multi-story parking garage located just across the street from the Hilton Grand Islander, a ~6-minute walk from Waikiki Shore and a ~8–9-minute walk from Regency on Beachwalk and Niʻihau Apartments

Waikiki Shore

2161 Kālia Road, Honolulu, HI 96815

For our Waikiki Shore guests whose rental unit does not include free parking (see individual listings for details), we have a very limited number of designated on-site parking spaces ($35+tax/night) and nearby Hale Koa Hotel parking passes ($25+tax/night; see above for details) available for rent. If our parking is not available, or if your rental includes off-site parking but you would prefer on-site parking instead, Waikiki Shore building management has a limited number of on-site parking spaces available for rent to Waikiki Shore guests for $35/night. However, they do not accept reservations in advance, so you will need to confirm availability with the building management office upon arrival. All prices are subject to change without advance notice.

Marina Parking Garage

1765 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96815 (Entrance located on Hobron Lane)

A large multi-story parking garage located within the Ilikai Marina condo building, entrance on Hobron Lane, directly across from The Modern Honolulu hotel. The cost is currently $23/night (subject to change without notice), payable directly to the parking garage attendant. [Per Ilikai Marina building house rules, we are not allowed to include free parking with our Ilikai Marina rentals. Thank you for your understanding.]

While most of our Ilikai rentals include free designated on-site self parking for 1 vehicle at the Ilikai, the Marina Parking Garage is also just a 2-minute walk away and is a great, cheaper alternative to paying for nightly valet parking rates at the Ilikai for guests whose rental does not include free parking, or for those with a 2nd+ rental car.

Waikiki Banyan

201 ʻŌhua Ave, Honolulu, HI 96815 (Entrance located on Kūhiō Avenue)

All of our rentals at the Waikiki Banyan include free unassigned self parking for 1 vehicle in the large, multi-story on-site parking garage. They also offer daily ($30/24 hours) and weekly ($150/7 days) public parking rates (subject to change without notice) for Waikiki Banyan guests with a 2nd+ vehicle, or for guests at other condos/hotels looking for a cheaper alternative.

Other Hotels

Many other larger hotels in Waikīkī have large parking garages that allow overnight parking, with public parking rates available to non-guests. Please contact each hotel directly for pricing and other details. For example:

  • Waikiki Sunset (all of Captain Cook Resorts' Waikiki Sunset rentals include free parking for 1 vehicle)
  • Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
  • Sheraton Waikiki Hotel
  • Hyatt Regency Waikiki

Street Parking

There is metered and un-metered street parking available throughout Waikīkī, especially along Kalākaua Avenue, Ala Wai Boulevard, and many of the smaller side streets. Just keep in mind that Waikīkī is very busy and it can be difficult to find a spot. Also, be absolutely sure to follow any signs regarding permitted parking days and times—you don't want your car to get towed away!

Shopping Centers

While there is no overnight parking allowed, customer parking at a shopping center can be very convenient, especially if you're looking for a place to kill time and need somewhere to park before Check-In or after Check-Out! For example:

  • Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center
  • International Market Place
  • Ala Moana Center
  • Waikiki Shopping Plaza
