Hawaii trip 2024

We were 4 adults travelling and did not realise that the spare bedroom is not closed off from the living area. Luckily our friends staying in that room were not too bothered by it. The pool was closed unexpectedly without prior knowledge (was meant to be for 3 days) ended up being a week. Unit was clean and spacious (couch is amazing!)
Having the 123 store downstairs is super convenient, local Thai place on the corner is great as well. Great location and safe building. Please please put in blackout blinds, when you are on vacation for 4 weeks you want to sleep in as well as being a city with lots of high rises with lighting on all night.Response from Captain Cook Resorts

Great stay in Waikiki!

Unit: (NO dishwasher) implies a lot of hand washing. It's not obvious from the pictures, but the 2nd bedroom is NOT enclosed (as suggested from the floorplan); there is an open wall between the 2nd bedroom and the living room. Had to regularly clean the floors due to dust/debris build-up (it's requested to be no shoes)
Location is great. Walkable to Waikiki, shops, restaurants. Easy access by car (parking was great).
Property management was very responsive and helpful in all requests and communications.

Great stay in Waikiki!

It’s located in the central location which made it easy to commute to all type of transportations, grocery stores, department stores, restaurants, food trucks, and gym. Large and bright living room with sofa, dining table, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and 1 parking stall. Captain Cook’s propery manager was very professional, kind, friendly, respectful which made our yearly vacation very comfortable and enjoyable. We’re grateful to be able to stay at this location.

Conveniently Located, Spacious and Well Appointed.

Easy drive to and from Fort Shafter and an easy walk to Hale Koa and the Army Derussy recreation area. Very nice pool / BBQ outside area on premises, and easy access to canal walkway. ABC store near front door made for convenient emergency shopping and snacks. Fantastic Thai restaurant (Siam) a block away. Only negatives (1) cabinet hardware need tightening up, (2) BA2 fan never turned off, (3) curtains need to be replaced with darker / thicker materiel to block out city lights at night - way too bright when trying to sleep. Would definitely stay here again.

Let’s not forget the property manager James Wickard. James was extremely accommodating and always responded to our needs in a timely manner. The entire Captain Cook staff were always helpful, respectful, professional and kind.
We hope to be able to return to Honolulu next year for our yearly 3 months vacation only if the current crimes and homeless issues are resolved. We were very afraid of going out at night among the homeless people since we were walking among the unhinged houseless people and we were unprotected. Great Unit!

The unit is located on the 19th floor, which gives the unit a nice city skyline view from the living room and mountain views from the bedroom. For extended stays, this place really feels like home.
