Paul（ポール）：Aloha! Meet Paul, one of our Resort Property Managers. Paul has a diverse background. He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years in Aviation Maintenance Management. Since his retirement in 1998, he taught scuba diving and captained tour boats and submarines here in Hawaiʻi. He joined Captain Cook Resorts in 2009. While with the Navy, Paul lived in Kanagawa, Japan for 12 years where he learned to speak fluent Japanese (日本語も話せます). Paul loves greeting our guests and sharing the "Aloha Spirit". He will go out of his way to provide that extra something to make your stay with us more comfortable.
Byron（バイロン）：Byron previously lived in Hawaiʻi then moved to Japan for many years to teach and has returned to Hawaiʻi and is one of our guest service managers. If there is anything you need during your stay, please to not hesitate to contact Byron. Byron is also fluent in Japanese (日本語OK).
James（ジェームス）：James first started working part-time in guest services in 2013 for Captain Cook Resorts and was very happy to transition to a full-time Resort Property Manager. He grew up in Japan, so he is fluent in Japanese (日本語) as well as English.

Petra（ペトラ）：Petra is the Operations Manager at Captain Cook Resorts, overseeing all renovations and remodels and ensures our rentals are up-to-date and looking great for our guests. Petra grew up in the San Francisco Bay area and moved to Hawaiʻi in 1976 after graduating from high school. She met her husband 1 month later and never looked back. She enjoys spending time with family, her grandson, and the family's 2 dogs. She also enjoys gardening and going to the movies.
Kathie（キャシー）：Kathie is our Director of Business Development and Client Success. A licensed Realtor Associate with over 25 years in the travel and hospitality industry, Hawaiʻi has long been her passion. Born in Anchorage, Alaska, the Hawaiian Islands have been her favorite destination for many years. Kathie enjoys painting and capturing the beauty of Hawaiʻi in art form. She originally worked with Captain Cook Resorts in 2011 and then, after a short time in Seattle, was thrilled to re-join the Captain Cook Resorts team. Kathie's focus is providing the highest quality of service and continued growth for our guests and owners.
